Hiya Lin,
Not sure how much Khrisnan charges but will get on the case and try to find out for you.
I wouldn't imagine it costing a fortune....but in saying that VAT came in back in May so maybe prices might increase when we get back next season!!!
Who cares, we all still love the place.
GFF xx

Returning to Goa in March next year (wish I could go sooner), and intend to learn enough Konkani before I go to hold a conversation when I get there. Can anyone advise as to where I could buy instructional CDs (Linguaphone perhaps?) or books to help me learn the language, I have looked in all the likely places with no luck so far.
Thanks Fiona, very helpful.

I remebered a site which had a very good konkani tutor and thought maybe I would copy a few words here, but its really huge and its best that you guys visit this website and have a look at the Konkani Tutor. This is 100% Goan Konkani !

its maka nakka (not sure of spelling!! and it means I want nothing, or I dont want anything!! chello jel means go away, or jeldi, go quickly, I can speak little konkani and hindi!! egdon tu bora dista, !! i agree they do love it and so do I!! its such fun and really good seeing the surprise on their faces when you let them know you understood something they said!!
