Can someone please tell me if the 1 bedroom apartments have a hair dryer and iron? Any other usefull information would be welcome.

We had a one bedroom apartment and it did have a hairdryer but no iron. There is an on site laundry so maybe they have an iron or perhaps you can hire one.
We're off here in June for 2 weeks, half board. I've read some reviews reporting that the place is great but the food/restaurant is pretty awful. The latest reviews here are for S/C at the end of last summer, so not much help. Anyone been/going to this resort that can let me know if we should be preparing for a bad food experience ?
The place is supposed to be 4 star apartments (according to Thomson, equivalent to 5 star hotel !!??), so I would expect a decent standard of food.

hi scott we stayed here and the hotel is very very nice i would say 5 star but the food kind of lets it down there isnt much to choose from and the prices were nearly double the cost of the same meal 10 mins down the road my only problem with the place was the pool area it had no slip proof matting(they should of had the matting being a famly gold plus) and we seen at least one kid a day fall and cut there selves open... 
the entertainment was great staff very helpful they even ordered take out food for us from the local take aways (cheaper and easyer than dragging the tired kids out after a long day touring) hope some of this helps gary...

Thanks for the info, I noticed they have a hotmail address, so I have sent them a mail with some enquiries, I hope they reply. My wife is a veggie so I want to get some idea of what sort of things she's going to be presented with !!

Hi we stopped there last year but only the kids ate there so I cant really comment on the food (they thought it was ok) There did not seem much choice on the menu so we always went out. We found the staff very friendly and I am sure they will reply to your e-mail. We emailed them last year asking for a room overlooking the pool and golf course, they replied saying they could not promise this but when we got there the room was just what we wanted. It was one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had and we would love to go back sometime. Have you looked at the photo gallery, we put a few on last year.
Thanks for the reply, the photo's look good. We have booked a two bedroom apartment. Do you know if these are on the ground floor ? We have two small kids and it would be better for us to be on the ground floor where they can safely run outside.

Sorry we only had a 1 bedroom apartment so dont know if there are any two bedroom ones on the ground floor. E-mail them a couple of weeks before you go and request a ground floor one if they have any. We were near the main pool whch was great for us.
The best place I think for people with small children would be near the shop. There are apartments which have a grassed area in front and one of the two parks. You can sit on the terrace while you watch them play. They are just around the corner from the main pool which has one of the kiddies splash pools. Anything else you need to know just ask.

Has anyone been to villa mandi? We are looking to book for July/aug 2008. WE have a 14 11 and 7 year old that are all very active a need plenty to keep them amused. I like good restuarants so need to be in a place where we can eat out and not be disappointed. Also need the resort to offer us plenty to do ie water parks etc but with out it being too tacky. Been searching the holiday brouchers and this place looks right up our street but I've never been to tenerife and i'm a little nervous. THe other reason I am asking is that we had a dreadful holiday last year with my daughter getting food poisioning so its so important that we have a really good one this time.

Nearest restaurants etc 15 min walk, main strip in Los Christianos ith loads of restaurants 20 mins at 7 year old pace !!!. Supermarkets 5 mins walk.

hi my daughter and her partner and little girl where there late june they said it is a fab place to stay
but it is a long way to walk to nearest shops and places to eat out
they had a apartment with 2 bedrooms on 2 floors 2 bathrooms and they had 3 balconies the views where lovley they said they would go back this year but they have just booked for the la siesta hotel with free child place and half board a lot cheaper than going self catering

Have booked to go to the Villa Mandi up by the golf course this September, taking 1 year old boy and girl twins and wondered if you had any ideas for bars and restaraunts we can take them to in walkable distance? Also where is the nearest supermarket?

hi my daughter and her partner and his little girl age 7 stayed at villa mandie apartments last year and loved it there but it is a out of the resort the nearest supermrket is on site but very expensive so thee other one is called trebol or the mercadona your best bet is ask the reps of the location or get a taxi and get one big shop
they said the apartments where great complex very nice good entertaiment for the children they had a fab hol have a look on the hotel reviews
