We recently went on the Island Escape where we suffered what can only be a described as a body shattering noise in the cabin as it was over the main lounge where very loud music was playing till late. The bit that did the damage was the heavy bass sound with reverberated in the cabin making it act like a drum. After numerous complaints and their refusal to give us another cabin they finally relented when i demanded to speak to the captain. They told me the ship was fully booked yet they did manage to find us a cabin on day three. I was arguing with them till the early hours on the first few nights.
We have been on many ships and know what he noise can be like and are quite prepared for it but this was entirely different. Not a ship noise at all. It was the sort that drives you mad and went on for ages.
The flight out and back my wife didnt get a meal which we paid for as she is vegetarian and they now tell us no one is guaranteed a vegetarian meal as this is only a request.
First Choice have now sent a money off voucher to be used on our next holiday with them and told us about the ship noises we should learn to accept. They didn't listen to anything i told them.
They refused to repay money for meals we didnt get and when we went to the shop where we bought the holiday they had wiped the booking from their computer.
The girl told us she could look up holiday booking for a very long time back yet was surprised to see ours had been removed. It sounds very unlawful to say the least when a complaint is under investigation. We now have no proof if we booked or if we asked for vegetarian meals.
They then went on to inform us that if we tried to do more they would cancel the money off voucher that they had offered.
What sort of company practices this sort of thing. I expect they all do but dont it make you angry.
