Thanks for the info!
6am??? Wow, that is early! But it will be well worth it to see such a fab sight and the earlier I'm up the longer I get to snorkel with the amazing fish
Cheers - Claire
Is there anything like imodium for children age 6 & 9?
we go on 25/8 i went to my doctor and said we were travling to egypt and i was worried about the kids with bad tummy he advised against that for kids bur prescribed me things for the runs and sick and tummy cramps , so it may help checking with the doctor as its free on prescription, my kids are 10 and 13. also people are advising not to eat the salad as its washed in normal water, hope this may help
Thanks, thats a good idea, will do.
Pippy one for you.... Did you really need everything you took with regard medical and such like? What were the essentials
We used everything listed in my opening post in this topic except the Immodium (better out than in and all that! ).
Consumed several sachets of rehydration powder as all of us except my Son had diarrhoea at some point and both my Mum and I were also sick, take plenty of those, they're not expensive and are vital for anyone with an upset tummy.
Also used Germolene on a couple of mozzie bites.
Tried the Aquapac but couldn't get on with it as I couldn't see the screen on my camera
Take LOTS of suncream.
I could have done with some ant powder as there were a few on our balcony in the evening, good idea to take some just in case.

Thanks Pippy, much appreciated.

Off to Egypt (Sharm) on Monday! Can't wait but I have a feeling I've forgotten something (after reading so much on here, I think I've confused myself!!!!)
Here's my quick checklist of the essentials - if you can think of anything I've forgotten - please post:
Suncream - lots of - Factor 30
Travel Insurance
Money - taking £100 worth of EGP and the rest in £sterling (plus CC)
Aqua Shoes for Snorkelling (can I hire the equipment there?)
Contact Number for Charm of Sharm excursions!
European plug adapters
Planning on getting Visa's on way
Just one question re scuba diving?! Can you attend a course there and if so, how long does it take and how much is it?!
Thanks
Oo! And - camera - with plenty of films and underwater disposables! (Trying to buy some now but doubt if they'll arrive in time!!)
You may like to read a similar thread I started last year, I found it invaluable!
