hi,
i have just booked a holiday to thailand for my fiance and myself. we are spending 4 nights in bangkok then 10 nights in cha-am at the regent. i was just wondering if anyone had any good advice or tips for us before we go. i have heard mixed reviews about the regent and believe cha-am to be a very quiet resort but we are happy to just chill out really. however, does anyone know how easy it is to get to and from livelier places- does it take long? i get the feeling we might get a little bored being there for 10 nights and will want to venture out for a few drinks and a bit more bustle in a town.also does anyone know if you can actually swin in the sea- i have heard a lot of talk about jellyfish but wasn't sure if it was a cause for concern. any advice or comments? i would really appreciate it. thanks
If you make the most of Bangkok you will be too exhausted to do much for the first few days anyway! BKK is brilliant!
thanks for the quick response- we go on the 6th september. i really have no idea what to expect hence wanting to find out as much as i can before we go so we can really make the most of our trip. hopefully it will be a nice romantic break. any ideas about hotspots of bangkok?- i am really excited about seeing the city and want to pack in as much as possible in our 4 days. we are 21 and 23 so would be looking for lively 'young' places but we don't really expect there to be any nightlife once we get to cha-am- we'll just be happy to relax. i am just worried about there being enough to fill 10 days there but i'm sure there will be excusions or something?
