im 19 and thought the place was dirty, small and lacked any sort of culture which is a great thing about the islands. clubs are good but after a few nights its so repetitive as there arent a great amount. cash point wise i never used them but im sure there were some. just make sure the card isnt a solo or visa electron

Thanks for the information, just hope they enjoy it there, but if anyone has any info on cashpoints, would appreciate knowing, thanks Rosietulip....

Only thing i thought let it down was the sea. :x

I like Kardemena as well. Although we always go in October when the young drunk idiots are back at school, college or uni.

At this time of the year you get a reasonbly lively resort, with good restaraunts, and a good atmosphere for old thirty somethings who dont like it dead, but dont like the 18-30 crowd.

im sorry but karademna is a prime example of a lovely resort gone wrong. its small and dirty and if full of alot of chavs who could not afford kos town etc in my opnion

Full of chavs that could not afford koz town..................... :zip

It is a resort for kids and has been for year. so anybody with a family would know that it is best to avoid this destination. Along with Falaraiki, Malia, Kavos, Laganas and Benetis...........................

Let the kids go somewhere and us adults go somewhere else..............

These kids could probably spend more in a night than you and I put together.

let the kids have their resort and as long as they stick to them. So what thee are loads of lovely resorts for others to visit.

sorry that was me sterotyping

im young, i like to party and i love laganas but karademna is truely a dump. it looks like a shanty town.

Me and my wife are no spring chickens but we found Kardamena very enjoyable, admitedly we were there in June and it may not have been the height of the season, although it was mainly geared up for the youngsters we had a great time, we saw no trouble at all when we were out there despite whats recently been printed in the tabloids, all we saw were people enjoying themselves, Kardamena had a lovely beach, lovely atmosphere and we would go back tomorrow, the only disappointment was the quality of the accomodation but hey, thats Greece for ya!

Im thinking of checking out Kardamena when i go to Kos

i never saw any trouble in karademna either to be honest. i was in PDLA in tenerife this year and i have never seen so many fights, muggings etc while before as i did there. mind you that was down at veronicas though

Had a great family holiday in Kardamena. It was in September a couple of years ago and no way would I have likened it to a Shanty town. It was also nice and clean.

i went to kardemena last september and whilst i dont like the 18-30 thing i do like to go out for drinks and a good time in the evening. I dont think the place was a dump although it is pretty commercialised. As green shoes said PDLA is terrible.. now that is grotty!!

we are in our fifties and love kardemena, been going for last ten years, nice beach, its not a dirty place, its a compact place, something for everyone,e.g. lively bars, quiet bars, nice restaurants. we have been at all times of the year, but tend to go in october now, when the 18-30's have mostly gone. jeppo
