Interesting to hear that First Choice are saying that they will not use it next year either. On that basis I think it is highly unlikley that another tour operator will be allowed to use it.
The reason being that while the resort has been built by a private Greek Developer it would normally do so using funding from the tour operator they have contracted to in the form of loans.
On that basis First Choice would have exclusivity on the property unless the developer was going to pay back any loans given by the tour operator.
Whilst the local operator probably has the option to rent the property privately if FC decline to use it they certainly wouldn't be able to use a competing tour operator.
I get the impression that the 2007 delay will probably be related to the upcoming legal action between the developer and FC.
I am starting to get the impression that perhaps First Choice have shelved the "Aqua Beach Club" concept entirely due to the issues involved with the (non) opening the first 3 this year, this is certainly true in Corfu where they have plans to build a different, smaller scale property.
As such, unless First Choice change their mind, I think that Kos Aqua Club Hotel (as it is now known) will probably only be available from the same kind of sources as it is this year, without any tour operator involvement.
