It looks lovely Lyn - I have requested a brochure - I just couldnt get any prices off the website.
hi - its right in a most beautiful part of the new forest - forest, moorland and ponies wandering everywhere - reminds me a little of dartmoor with forest - I know loads of people that go here quite regularly but we have only been for a weekend last october . Its a lovely site we stayed in a caravan (brand new ) it even passed my mother in laws very fussy hygene test (she said she could live there
). but the lodges look fab and the camping/touring pitches are excellent
. the camp itself is lovely . no riff raff but not posh either just lots of nice people . theres an indoor and outside pool , usual playgrounds and a small games room (again just enough without being tacky) bike hire, club house, italian resturant and another resturantant attached to the clubhouse. also a lovely onsite shop that stocked everything from tourist info to DVDs/vidoes to rent . (lovely fresh bread and coissants in the morning) . We never ate on site as there are soooooooooooo many lovely country pubs around with good food
. there are lots of lovely new forest villages around lyndhurst, burley, brockenhurst etc , beauleigh with the motor museam, portsmouth docks where there are 3 ships HMS victory i think, mary rose , bournemouth not far. but to be honest we just walked most of the time, went into a couple of towns . ate out and generally chilled
. our children enjoyed themselvess in the pool.
We really want to go again and if you keep an eye on their special offers on the website you can book last minute in a caravan/lodge really cheaply out of season. £80- £150 for a weekend break if you book the week before. right up to middle of july we could of had a 6 berth caravan last mintute for £150
