Hi
going tomorrow, whats the cheapest way to phone UK whilst on holiday in Malta
My Mobile ( O2 contract with ITS ) is 58p pm
any cheap calling card options avialble once I get there?
----
suppose alternative would be via my laptop, but don't think we have wifi or LAN in hotel
on that note any I likely to find any hotspots or open networks ( in Qawra)
if I decide (looking unlikely) to take my laptop
you can buy phone cards for calling international very cheaply in Malta - say 5p pm roughly, calling from a landline, or do you mean using your mobile ?
cheers, yes it was the calling cards ( to use from public phones or posible hotel ) that I was after, great to know that they are available , so likely won't bother with laptop then anyway

From their sites you can see there are several retail outlets in the Qawra area selling them.
Enjoy your holiday.
thanks again, I will look out for them. save on phone calls means more on food and drink!
it rained in Gozo today - only a few mm, but the most we've had for months ! Its still a little cloudy, but worst I would expect for the next few days are isolated showers with plenty of sunshine in between. Good news is that its now great for walking, and it will get green very quickly
We were on the fabulous beach at Ramla Bay (Gozo), on Wednesday last week and it rained on the afternoon as we were coming away. Not much but I did have to wind up the windows on the car and it did wet the road. It went really hot and sunny after!
We were warned about the jellfish in the water and that they could give you a nasty sting but we didn't see any,
Trev
quite right, it did rain last Wed - even more today ! glad to hear jellyfish didn't get you ! in reality, for most people, the fear is worse than the reality of jellyfish stings - like a bad nettle sting - still bad enough to avoid if you can !
