We are flying to Nimes on September 11th, but only after booking our flights realised we won't be able to get to a supermarket as it is a Sunday. Our obvious alternative is to eat out, but as we normally fly to Montpellier we haven't got a clue what Nimes has on offer restaurant-wise on Sunday evenings.
Our preference would be something regional but not too pricey. Any advice/recommendations would be most welcome. Thanks.
I was not overly impressed by the lack of choice of restaurants in the older part of the city. We only stayed the one night and I'd not return, for the food at least.
I doubt you'll have problems due to being a Sunday. Monday is often the 'closed' day in my experience at least in the south of France.
Just back from the Loire in the summer. While we were there we did notice adverts for the intermarche declaring that they are now open on a sunday. Restricted to just mornings tho i think! I assume this would be similar all over - in that chain anyway.
Caroline, thank you for potentially useful information about Intermarche but unfortunately we don't land until 1535.
