Glad you had a great time Jane. When we went in July, the weather wasn't great for the first week though. We also went on the glass-bottomed boat, which was nice. It was fun watching the fish eat the food! Although I preferred just taking the 'normal' boat up the coast.
I wish I was back there now!
There are a few nice restaurants too. I recommend you get a guide to the Costa Brava as there are always some good restaurant recommendations in them. I had a grilled lobster at a restaurant called.......can't remember!!!! Which a was gorgeous (only 18euro's!), when I remember I'll let you know. Doh!
I have the
Lonely Planet guide to Catalunya and the Costa Brava which was useful. Some of the restaurants they recommend are more expensive than others and the ones next to the beach are more expensive.
La Cuina de Can Simon seems a nice place (it has a michelin star!) It is quite expensive, and I'd have liked to have gone, but Dave didn't fancy anything on the menu. It's recommended in the guide.
Restaurant Bahia (Passeig de Mar) is recommended, and it's a nice place.
Restaurant Marina is also a great place to eat. As is restaurant
Berlin. We also went to Barcelona for a day. We've been there twice before and adore the place.
I'm sure you'll have a great time Rosie and Eagle.
I didn't have a bad time with the mozzies Eagle.
