What was meant to be a fun enjoyable girls holiday turned into an intimidating isolated nightmare in the middle of a busy town getting hassled as an easy target by the locals everytime I stepped out. Plus the accommodation was right in the middle of bar street therefore subjected to constant competing music til 6am. Fun if your out there with the girls not when your trying to sleep through it.
I ended up on my mostly on my own for the days and sleepin on sun loungers at night at my friends hotel in order to have any kind of social holiday. This hotel was also a Gold Trail hotel and they did have spare rooms. When complained to the rep (who did both hotels) a request to move to gumbet I was told to read the small print and they could change their accommodation resorts if it was accommodation on arrival. Wouldn't have been bothered as much if I'd been a couple but they just couldnt be bothered about my predicament and wouldn't move me at all.
Just before my holiday I got a confirmation slip for a named hotel in Gumbet, even looked it up on here and it was perfect only a couple of minutes walk from my friends.
A change in accommodation wouldn not be a problem but a change in towns was Anyone tell me what rights I've got to getting any kind of compensation for the numerous taxi's, dolbushes and non stop mucky looks and cheers I got from the local lads ever time I walked home in my night clothes in the morning, this lady did not go jiggy jiggy just to have a night out. She just wanted a night out with the girls.
