Hello
I am trying to book a family holiday for July 2008, we need a 2 bedroomed apartment. I am trying to find somewhere that will occupy 3 teenagers who's favourite word is "bored". Ideally I would like some kind of daytime and evening enteraintment and I would like to be near shops but not kept awake by noise.
I can't seem to find anything in the brochures. I am wondering if I should go down the route of a DIY holiday if I knew of really good apartments but as I want to go in July I probably wouldn' get any bargain flights and would have to arrange airport transfers. I want to fly from Dublin or Belfast.
Can anyone recommend accomodation in this area and which resort would be more suitable for us.
Thanks for any help.
Of the three, with teenagers, I would have thought that Gumbet would be the best. Bitez would probably be to quiet although the beach is ncer. Bodrum is okay but I think Gumbet would have more appeal. Lots to do with the variety of watersports on offer, mini golf, climbing wall, shops, Bar Street (if the teenagers are old enough), good restaurants, wide choice of bars (as noisy or as quiet as you want).
Sorry don't know of any two-bedroomed apartments as we always stay at the Serhan Hotel but I'm sure there are some around. We always do it DIY as we find it much cheaper - you've got to book early though.
Hope you have success. Only thing is, if you're planning going in July, I hope you can stand the heat. Our Turkish friends always tell us to visit in June and September as July and August are too hot.

Thanks for the advice, we got a 2 bedroomed apartment in Bitez. I felt it was near enough to go by dolmus to Gumbet or Bodrum. We have been to Turkey in July before so we know what to expect.
Thanks again
Thanks again
