...and on the maps you will see all the front-line hotels/appts. They are all good, some are more expensive than others.
I have also heard that there are lots of mosquitos in Alcudia, will this be a problem at this time of year. Also any info on the current weather would be good.
I hope you can help!!!
Still fairly busy, everything open although starting to closedown as the month-end approaches, weather usually very pleasant, no (or hardly any) mossies at this time of year.

The weather was still warm, but we did have one morning when it rained, but it turned out ok in the afternoon. #We came back with sun tans.
We had no problem with mossies.
Have a great time.

is there any good food places in alcudia an what fast food places do they have any mcdonalds an kfc an also which is the best supermarket
HIsharon there are loads ogf good places to eat in alcudia steaks, chineses, pizzas, and there is a burger king ,macdonalds, and a fish&chip shop plenty of good food
It might cost a few euros more over the course of your holiday, but believe me, the pavements in Alcudia are made of special shiny slabs that reflect the heat straight up your shorts and make you feel you would pay anything to be back in the pool!!!
Seriously there are loads of shops in the resort. There is a big SYP quite a way down opposite the Platja D'Or/Condesa de la Bahia if you've got a map i.e. about 1/3 way down the big lagoon, on the mountain side of the main road (as opposed to the beach side).
Just booked full board in the Hotel More, Alcudia - has anyone been? Went to S'illot last year and loved it, we were in self catering apartments and a two minute walk from the beach! This seems to be more or less the same in this hotel. Just a bit worried about the food in case the kids don't like it (they're 11 and the thought of spending the extra bit of money on full board and then having to eat out because the food isn't great kinda worries me!
me my partner and 2 children aged 8 and 6 will be going to alcudia can you tell me what the weather will be like we fly on the 23rd august for 2 weeks.
also can yuo tell me there is anything such as clowns or kiddies discos etc we normally go to benidorm to see phil the clown. we are staying in the bellevue apartments how far away from the beach is this and are they any good ??? and is alcudia as cheap as benidorm we went to gran canaria last year which was quite expensive it was something like €4.00

HI the weather will be very hot there is loads for the kids to do. the beach is about 10-15 min walk away the belview is big with lots of entitenment and you can get a pint of larger for 1.75 euro in the crown pub just over the bridge on the mian strip
hi
Right by Bellevue (in Siesta 1) is The Red Lion pub where they have a kids disco sort of thing from around 8 in the evening. They're in the process of building a kids' club as well. The Red Lion also has its own mascot - Lenny - which is one of the entertainers dressed up.
hi there
Has Alcudia got a decent bit of nightlife for a couple of 21 year old lads? Not anything mental like Magaluf etc, just a few decent places that stay open till 3 or 4 and there will be a few girls around. As I said we're not after anything mental as we just want a mainly relaxing holiday but a few good late night places would be good if there are any?
My son and his mate went with us three years ago and stayed in a separate apartment in the same complex. At the time they were both 18 and they had a BALL!
I know that they went to "Bells" and "Menta" which were open until really late, but also a lot of the music bars etc stay open really late too
Have a great time, Im sure you will find a few nice girls to keep you company

Cheers Toots, really appreciate the advice.
By Bells in the Ciudad Blanca area there is also Sabor Latino music bar and Goodfellas not that far away.
Out of Puerto Alcudia, there is Mambo Playa Cafe in Playa de Muro; possibly the best of all the late-night places, and overlooking the beach.
In a word - plenty!
can anyboby give me any ideas on how mush it cost for meals drinks etc?
does anyone have any idea how much the water park costs
Hidropark - 15 euros for those aged 12 and over. 8 euros kids 5 to 11. Under 5's free. Check their site for any updates - http://www.hidropark.com
As for meals and drinks, depends entirely where you go. A pint of beer is generally going to be around the 3 euro mark - for instance. Something like a fresh orange juice can be 2.50. Food, 13-15 euros for a real good plate of mixed grill or something would be an average. Pizzas somewhat less. The real bargain places tend to be in the port itself, the more local ones away from the front line. Places doing tapas are often good value as you eat one and then if you want more, just order one. Some of the bars/pubs do breakfasts for around 4 to 5 euros.
Hope this helps.
