I was staying at this hotel 19 july and we had our daughter with us.

Just come back from this hotel. had a good time. food good, my son (8) made many of friends through the kids club.
Swimming pool good.
We had a room at the back of the building over looking the road, didn`t disturb the kids, only sat out on the balcony when my husband smoked, as a non smoker myself people were smoking in the bar, and out side but i didnt see any one walking around the hotel smoking. didnt spell of smoke.
Entertainment was ok, if you joined in. Entertainment staff did their best to get every one to join in and the kids club was good.
Building work is still going on, but it didnt distrurb us in any way. no dust etc.
Medival night was good, but dont expect to much wine as they are very slow at coming around with it.
Marineland was good too, but the slides at the water park are fast and deep. watch the kids.
There is a road train that comes outside the hotel and takes you to the train st, and around the resort, very cheap.

Can anyone tell me about current building work near this hotel? Due to go in three weeks - received a letter from thompsons today re building work? Anyone recently been to Sante Monica? Very concerned about this and would really appreciate info.

has anyone been here recently,considering going august next year because the price is really cheap.is there a reason the price is so good.read good and bad reviews,but i must say mostly good.any advice most welcome.
