Just off to read a few reviews, but just wondered is this in a good location?
From reading between the lines in the brochure it's up a hill, and is a bit of a walk to the beach, not that we are that bothered about the beach but it would be nice to be able to see the sea!
Undecided as to whether to book with malta direct, chevron or direct with the hotel. Any reccomendations?
Also any reccomendations for car hire? We'd like to get out and about a bit.
Thanks,
Mrs Moo xxx
I can recommend Swift Car Hire. they are located in Buggiba but will deliver the car to the airport. As far as I am aware they are the only company that does not charge any excess for damage, which can be a good thing in Malta. The link is here:- http://www.swiftcarhire.com/car_hire_malta/Buggiba-Car-Rental.php
Although the car you hire may have one or two little dents But I have never had an unroadworthy car from them.
Your hotel is located on the main road on the hill. You can walk down to the beach and get the bus back up, cost is around 23c. You could always take a leisurly walk back up the hill
You are close to quite a few good restaurants and a couple of bars. If you do hire a car the ferry port over to Gozo is only a five minute drive.
Will file their details in my holiday file on the pc!
Think we have decided to go with Malta direct, they areen't as cheap as booking direct, but then we wouldn't have the mither of arranging transfers, and we can have the car delivered to the hotel instead.

Hi there, I feel like I am butting in but............" You could always take a leisurly walk back up the hill " is not what I would call a pleasure. One it is very steep, long and winding and two it has constant traffic! Or is it just me being a big softy?
In the summer it is not an option to catch the bus up the hill as the queues for the buses are massive.
I do like Mellieha but I prefer to stay nearer to the sea so that you can take a nice leisurely flat stroll in the evenings.
Going to book it in January so I still have a bit of time to check it's a nice place!
Thanks for the advice! We just like a quiet drink in the evenings, too old for partying into the night now! In fact the last few places we have been away to, we have utilised the hotel entertainment.
Thanks again,

I really don't think that you will be disappointed with the hotel. I have not stayed there but it does command a lovely spot with fantastic views over Gozo,Mellieha Bay and the Church. Try to get a room high up!
As I have mentioned if you are to hire a car, Gozo ferry is a five minute drive, St Pauls/Buggiba is 10 mins and Valletta 25 mins. Hope you have a lovely holiday and I'm sure that you will
Really looking forward to booking it now!
