Come on Lin -we are all dying to hear the gossip!! How did it go?
On other news.... (Sad news) I think an English lady (a foreigner anyway) died this evening in Calangute, she was run down by a bus, it happened just after we drove past, we had a taxi following us (maybe three minutes behind who then saw the accident).
real sad to hear of the death of the lady in calangute i feel for her family, could you tell me where abouts in calangute this happened? thanks maggieomx
So sad to hear this!
Very sad especialy at this time of year, You always have to be on your toes anywhere in Goa when you are walking alomg the road not just Calangute, the drivers though are usally prety good at just missing you do you know if it was the Drivers fault or did the woman walked out without looking ?
Apparently it was at the temple round-a-bout in Calangute (near the fish market), Shem222 has just told me the bus went over her head... Prefer not to think about it. Anything in the papers?
Haven't read anything yet Rob...will keep you informed. Was she a British lady? That roundabout is a nightmare - I chickened out last week and pushed my bike instead of riding it!!!
Love Mrs Lin B
looking forward to it Mrs Lin B!
Something, someone might find interesting....
The whole day was amazing from start to finish, although I found it very emotional at times, especially when the wedding singer sang the theme song from the film 'Ghost' and I was'nt the only one in tears. As Rob has said the power kept going at crucial times, and Davy crossing his fingers behind his back during the vows didn't help.
All the local boys helped with serving food and drinks, and it was ironic that Alex who was in charge of the fireworks set his own shack on fire, we had 4 little boys gate crashed the party, but they enjoyed the free food and drinks, and seem to appear in almost every photo, they now come up to me on the beach to tell me they came to my wedding, they seem to represent the whole spirit of the day.
I don't think there is anywhere else in the world I would have chosen, the hospitality of the Goan people is second to none.
I could go on forever, but you probably dont want to know about Chillys pole dancing.
Lin
What a great idea to get married in a place that has given you so much happiness.

Great photos pam. Thanks Lin for sharing them with us.
Whilst there they had the Indian Film Festival on and all over Goa there was film crews added to the general atmosphere. We dined at Lazydays, Bernards, Big Banna, Taj Village, Lilas, Delhi Durbar, The Mad Cat and The Goldern Anchor (formally Captain Lobo's) all meals were good we also had some snacks here and there but can't remember the names.
We shoped at Mapusa, Panaji, ajuna, candolim and Baga returning with full cases once again. flights both ways absolutly jam packed not a spare seat anywhere. The CSM was great as always can't wait too go back next X-mas and New Year.
Became very ill on the last day and a full week after returning I am still suffering, been to the doctors had more drugs but still not a one. not sure if I am suffering from dehydration or had something bad on the last day, but it has left me pretty weak and think I will have to return to the doctors on monday.
Lin B and Dave sorry we could not make the wedding but was told it all went well in the end, never managed to get to check your places out maybe you could pm me some pictures and a little map of its location.
Chilly you know you are great company really enjoyed talking with you look forward to meeting you again next year.
Dave and Heather who was also staying at the CSM from Bristol way were a very nice couple and spent a lot od time with Rob and Sharmina takeing fruite around the slums and I know they took a lode of stuff over with them really kind people.

Pam 7 we did not get to talk to much hopefully next time and Richard from swansea hope you did not catch too manny fish as it would have interfered with your drinking looked like you were haveing a great time off it at The Magnum Resort you should put a report on the hotel listing.
I am so sorry I forgot your names the other couple from Swansea who brought the time share it was nice meeting you both, obviously you will be going back regularly so we should meet again.
Rob and Sharmina as always really great companny and good sense of humour, they work very hard and still find time to attend the meet-ups and of course Ambert never got to chat much this visit make up for it next time.
