I would think the journey will take about 2 hours, maybe a little less if you use the new toll road.

Tarifa is a charming place, very spanish and very different from Fuengirola.

Depending on whether you go via the toll road or the non toll it could vary between 1.5 hrs and 2.5 h. If you go by non toll you will still have a bit of motorway to negotiate about 127 KM. The toll route is the quickest but 134KM and will cost about 5€ e toll.

That's absolutely brilliant - many thanks for your help.

Even more determined to get down to Tarifa now!

Cheers, Ann.

It's definitely worth visiting Tarifa, it's so chilled out there and has a lovely feel about the place. The beaches are beautiful but it will be cold in the evenings in March (perhaps chilly during the day too). If you can stay over for the evening even better as it has a completely different feel by night. You can find clean, comfortable hostels which are very cheap at that time of year.
