Can't help you myself, but we are also staying at La Palombiere this summer, but in the middle of August. From all the information, their brochure and website, it certainly looks good. I understand the site also has 4 Michelin tents which is a good indication of the standards to expect.
However, it would be very useful to hear from anyone who has stayed there in the last year or two.
Recommendations in the area so far:
Caves with prehistoric painting
Canoeing on the Dordogne
Sarlat market on Saturday and Wednesday mornings
and I am sure there are plenty more . . .

Hi we are also going to this site next year. Hope it is as good as it looks. we are booked with Keycamp and they have been good in the past.
