I'm staying in Candolim and I've read that the sea may have undercurrents and the water isn't clear enough to snorkel. Can anyone reccommend a beach, near to Candolim, that will have clearer waters?
Also - are there any smaller beaches that are tourist free?
There are plenty of tourist free beaches Beki but we are not going to tell you where they are, you have to find them for yourself
You can snorkel on Grand Island or might be the other one, where eveeryine has BBQ's. Can;t remember the name but someone here will
Does anyone know Dona Paula beach (south of Panaji)? Is it a nice beach with clear water? What watersports can you do there?
The best beach we went to was Morjim also known as Turtle Beach. White sands and crystal clear water.
Shhhhhhh !
Hi Beki. For a quite beach try Ashvem which is about 40-45 mins in a taxi from your hotel. You can rent a hut if you wish to stay overnight from several places. We normally stay at the Seaview, and next door is the Rockbite. If you want a really quite one then try temple beach at Querim which is about another 30 mins further north, only 3 or 4 shacks on here and no sellers. Hope this helps. B
