You're staying in a nice area, its quiet and away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to just hop in a taxi and be in Naama bay in under 5 mins. Ive stayed at two hotels in that area, The Rock and Mexicana Sharm and they were both nice. Ive seen pictures of your hotel and met people who were staying there and it seems lovely. The only potential issue is that you dont have a private beach if I recall, but I stongly recomment the one at the light house, better known us Umm El Seid if I remember correctly. Its lovely and along the same stretch of sand as some fo the hotels such as the Hilton and some other big hotels.
As for money Ive never known there to be an issue with the amount of cash you carry. And ive only used my visa to book trips and pay for tabs in hotels so it seems fine. Hope this helps, let me know if there's anything else you need help with!
