If you do a search there is the web site address on the forum somewhere, which will give you photos info ect, but I think it is Tiracol fort.
However dont expect a pool or normal hotel facilities, this place is very very select and is for anyone that wants to just leave the world behind and relax. The beach nearby is a short ferry ride away and has a couple of good shacks.
I will try and post some pics of the rooms but if you need more please pm me.
BTW we stayed on 17/02/06.

Hope this link works
..cheers lin b and bigbaddad i was able to see it all on the link ....it sure does look amazing.... I have to go there....BBD...was the.8000 rps for the family room or was that for each person thankyou both for you help it is much appreciated....
it was 8000 for all 3 of us, just looked at the site above and have to say our room was much nicer so things may be different since they where taken, but be advised the tv wont get a signal but you dan use the dvd player but if like us you will much prefer having a glass of bombay saphire gin on the terrace rather than watching tv.
....would love to see the photographs .....I am a new member and im not sure on how to find myway about yet but i do know how to go into the place to look at photos ....is that where they would be...
I went there for a look a month ago. I have to be very honest and say that it is very over-priced for what it is. 7000 rupees is just too much for a room with little else going for it appart from 'tranquility' .... it seemed too much like a made over barracks. Not a lot of facilities and at that price I would want a private beach or pool. I've stayed in everything from 5 star to beach hut in Goa and know what quality is. Tiracol is overrated and over-priced in my view.
Prices of food and drink are sky high.... 350 rps for a G&T, Lamb main course 3000 rps for two. Now that is a bit much. Save your money!
The fact that the Lilla palace (the 7 star with the gold roof a few miles in from Arpora) own this place is why it's overpriced. Many Goan businessmen/hotel owners also thought they were taking tourists for a ride.
There are many other high-end places to stay better than this! The Wildernest for me was the 'best -get away from it all' place to stay bar none!! It's out of the way but you won't regret it!
There are other great places to stay but I'll let you have the pleasure of exploring. Take a look around.
Theres only one 7 star hotel in the world and that's the Burg El Arab in Dubai!!!
Or am I wrong?, would love to have a look around a Goan 7 star if one exists.
GFF xx
Also the hotel on the hill west of the Marina Dourada is the Leela 'something' not the palace as i have mentioned. A hang out of many a Bollywood star..... so I'm told.
Sorry the Leela 'Something' isn't west of the M Dourada, it's east... West would mean Baga.
Neil you are right about it being expensive by Goan standards, and yes the rooms are a bit barrack like, but we did it as a one off special night and it worked for us. Unlike the Leela Teracol is very quiet and remote and is a gentle change from the rush of Baga etc.
hi big neil I would have to agree it is a bit over priced ....do you know can you go for a day trip how can they charge ..350 for a drink my husband was able to buy a bottle of wiskey for 120 rps and that was the dear one their was one for 80rps haha
