Hi

We're off for our long awaited holiday to the Caribe hotel in Es Cana on the 14th June. Can you tell me if they're any great bars/restaurants that are child friendly for 9, 6 2 x 4 year olds? We're half board but still like to eat out sometimes and also with 3 boys, 4 inc. hubby, will be wanting to watch the footie matches too :wink

Fingers crossed for the sun to shine please :sun

I can't help you with bar information, but I'm off to Es Cana on the 14th June too!!! So with both of us crossing our fingers for good weather we'll be fine!

Easy answer

It will be difficult to find a bar that is not child friendly (of any age !)

Don't forget it is in their own interests to make people as welcome as possible. This is usually carried out in the friendliest possible way.

There will undoubtedly be bars showning as much football as possible.

Every bar and restaurant in the resort is child friendly but 2 places well worth a visit are the restaurant Los Jarros which is down a small side street opposite the bus station. The restaurant is very reasonably priced and has a very varied menu with lots of child portions on offer. A bar well worth visiting is Rio's showbar which is situated on the main road close to the Hotel Ereso. Its the first bar you pass as you enter the resort. Karaoke, bingo, quizzes, snacks served all day, pool tables and games machines. Tina, the owner, makes sure the children are kept entertained. Have a great holiday. We'll be there from 19th June for two weeks. Its our 10th visit to Es Cana and we love it.

For footy in a child friendly bar you cant best moes tavern, as you can probably guess its a Simpsons theme bar with with big screens showing footy but with a separate area showing cartoons etc for the kids and a varied menu , and the added benefit of an outdoor swimming pool go for it see you there next weekend ..paddy

We're flying from Luton this time, we're really lucky in that its an equal distance to Luton, Birmingham, Coventry and East Midlands from where we live!

I'm so excited now, work has gone out of the window. :P

Not to far from the Caribe to Moes Tavern , take a right from the hotel as if you are heading up towards Punta Arabi where they hold the Hippy market every Wednesday , and Moes is on the left hand side doesnt look to big from outside but inside its spacious and cool , sure the kids will love it , Chris and Bev are great hosts ,tell them Pat and Mary from Wolverhampton told you about the place , as I will be over in Es Cana this coming weekend myself so sure to pop in at some stage , have a good time ..Paddy

We are flying out on the 14th too from manchester, and staying at the miami in es cana, the last time we went to ibiza it was awful it was october it rained the wholetime and everywhere was closed or really expensive. We decided to give it another shot at a different time of year with an all inclusive holiday. Does anyone know how strict the new no smoking laws are in ibiza as that is something i would definately find a problem also has anyone stayed at the miami this season who can let us know what is there for a 16yr old boy and a 9 yr old girl. i think my daughter will be sorted with the kids clubs but son may be a bit of a problem lol.

My sister in law who is currently in Ibiza called me on Saturday morning to tell me that the weather was very windy and that I'd need a cardigan as it felt quite cool! :( I've looked on the BBC teletext and it looks ok for Thursday which is my first day there!

She also said that the smoking laws were very strict, basically you can no longer smoke inside bars and restaurants, although i'm not sure about hotels.

Morning everyone,

I'm looking for some advice on hotels in Es Cana. Stayed in the Miami Apts in 1991 with my now husband (it was our first holiday together) and having just come out of hospital we are thinking of returning to Es Cana for a quiet holiday, I have a six week recovery so would be going around August. As its been a while we would love some feedback on hotels, being a bit older and money not as tight as the first time, we would be looking for a 4 or 5 star hotel, any ideas? Also what is the weather like in August?

Any advice would be really appreciated, thank you in advance.

Escana and most of Ibiza could not be described as quiet as this is the busiest month of the year,Escana will be packed out.

The weather is very hot and sometimes very humid.you could get storms later in the month, best wishes,John.

P.S.Have a look at the Panorama Hotel,in my view the best.....

the hotel panarama marina would be ideal for you, adult only so probably more chilled out, also could i recommend the sol s'argamassa hotel a 15 min walk from escana, near the much nicer cala martina beach not a lot around,a few bars and restaurants but 6 euros taxi into santa eulalia and not a bad walk into escana. mo :)
