Question on Lagos vs. Albufeira

Hello!

I am planning my first trip to the Algarve for April 12-17. I will be with a group of 4 people, all of us in our mid-twenties. We're not sure whether to spend 3 nights in Albufeira and 2 in Lagos, or just to spend the whole time in Albufeira. Any thoughts?

Hi

I would split my time between Albuferia and Lagos. I prefer Lagos as although the old town of Albuferia is nice, the 'strip' area I find is very similar to the Levante area of Benidorm, full of english bars and time share touts.
The Algarve is lovely and it would be nice to see different areas. Lagos is more sophisticated. Depends what your looking for?
