Karpathos not actually been myself but friends have been thankfully he speaks Greek very well as not many Greeks spoke english, they loved it
I have been to quite a few Greek Islands KEfalonia being the favourite but remote Andros was when we went there 1989 Syros also was nice most of the other Islands I have done are the usual run of the mill but Laskerna and Taperstry brouchures have some very remote places maybe worth having a look and reading up on them.

For off the beaten track remoteness - Serres and Pendapoli in Makedonia - from the point I got on the bus in Kavala I only met one person who spoke English!!

One of my favourite places has to be the village of Glossa on Skopelos. Traffic free apart from the turning circle at the end of the road from Skopelos town. A beautiful village where time seems to have stood still. With stunning views across to Skiathos and Evia, the silence enveloping you, i could sit there for hours.
My other favourite remote place has to be sitting on the very summit of mount Aenos on Kefalonia looking right across the island and over to Zante. Breathtaking................especially after the 3 1/2 hour walk to get to the summit!

Hi keffadict been to skopolos dont think i went to glossa, but can clearly
remember top of mount aenos looking down over katilios and lourdes i agree very beautiful . I think one of the most remote places i have been was the island of samothraki { tourists what are they }or either
The evros delta past alexandrapolis
Vikos gorge or
Prespa lakes on border with albania and makodonia
