Hi,
I have booked my flights for October and need to book accommodation in Ibiza. There are 4 of us travelling, the kids are aged 14 and 11. We stayed AI at the Sirenis Club Playa, Cala Llonga 2 years ago and loved it, but unfortunately they can only be booked as a package with my travel so it rules that hotel out. I would prefer to go AI, and I want a hotel that has plenty of activities and entertainment for the kids (teenager in particular). We don't want to hire a car, and as we will be getting a taxi from the airport I would prefer the resort not to be too far away. The other thing is that a lot of the accommodation is coming back with the rooms only sleeping 3 and if I book 2 rooms I cannot be sure that they will be rooms together.
Any recommendations would be gratefully received.
Thanks
You can book this hotel directly via the website
They are showing 2 sirenis hotels in Cala Llonga - Club Playa & Playa Imperial. It looks like you can book 1 but not the other.

Thanks for replying. I had already contacted the Sirenis Club Playa direct and they told me that it is only available via mytravel. I chanced my arm and e-mailed my travel, but they will only do it as a package. I have been pricing some of the Fiesta Hotels so I will have a look in the hotel review section again.

http://www.sanmiguelresort.com although the apartments aren't featured you could e.mail asking for details.
At Puerto San Miguel you can book a two bed apartment direct with Hotel Cartago on an all inclusive basis - it is a Thomson Superfamily hotel and has it's own entertainment team so there is lots going on in the hotel complex. It is about 25 - 30 minutes from the airport and taxi fare is about 35 - 40 euros. The hotel website is at Marie was right about Cala Llonga having two Sirenis hotels. However, the Paya Dorada and Playa Imperial are sister hotels and are adjoined, so if you can't book one I doubt if you could book the other.
As for Fiesta Hotels, the one in Cala Llonga is a Thomsons Gold hotel and this means they will not accept anyone under the age of 16.
Have you tried going back to the company you are flying with and askingif they also arrange accommodation? Many of the budget airlines are now doing flight + accommodation. It may be worth a try.
I e-mailed the Hotel Cartago in San Miguel, but as yet they have not replied. The hotel looks good, the beach and scenery look fantastic also, and I love the idea of the watersports as they would definately keep the kids entertained. I read some of the reviews and they seem to be a bit mixed for the 3 hotels in San Miguel, I wondered if this has more to do with the area being fairly quiet though. My flight home is about 4am in the morning, so I don't know how easy it would be to get a return taxi. In the meantime I will shop around and see what the prices are like for the Fiesta Hotels and then I can make a comparrison once the Hotel Cartago gets back to me.
hi Jay Jay,
Thanks also for replying, I booked my flights with Thomsons and they definately do provide accommodation only deals, they don't do the Sirenis Club Playa though. I've been onto the Fiesta Hotels website and have got some prices, so I will give Thomsons a call and see how they compare for cost. Reviews for the majority of Fiesta Hotels are good, although they do seem to be a bit more expensive, offerring HB and FB options with the chance to upgrade in the resort. I think the the Fiesta Tanit offers AI. If anyone else has recommendations I would be really grateful.
Thanks
Keanda
We are off to the the Tanit on the 31st May it seems to cater for all ages and is AI so no need to worry about the kids spending either as its all paid for loads of things for teenagers to do as well.
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. When I was looking for accommodation last year one of the other members recommeded the Hotel Tanit and said it was excellent. (Didn't book it last year as we ended up in Majorca instead.) Anyway I will have another look at the reviews. Just out of curiousity did you book it as a package or have you done it DIY?
Have a great time in May.
Thanks
Keanda
we booked it as a package online with sky travel as it was far cheaper than booking diy and with thomson directly 3 adults 1 child for a week in at the beginning of June was 1233.00 for AI I thought was really cheap can't wait to go now after reading all the good reviews and speaking to people who have been before
