Also, how strong is the sun at that time of year - I've survived Greece in August but wonder if I need to be too careful in February?

Hi all - I've just booked my first visit to Sharm for next Feb (cant bear the prospect of another winter without something to look forward to!) and just wondered if I could get some advice from you guys!
First, whats the best currency to have? Sterling/US/local, or a combination?

Just had some friends come back from sharm a couple of weeks ago apparently its there winter time, so whilst its warm its not scorching.

Hi Trashcanman - I went last February for hte first time and it was lovely - around 75-80 every day - started getting dark about 430-5pm and a bit chilly of an evening, a cardigan was enough to keep the chill out though. Im off again in 5 weeks cos we enjoyed it that much last time.
As for currency everyone told us to take stirling/US and Egyptian Pounds - we only needed the Egyptian pounds - never used the stirling or Dollars - we only changed up £100 to take with us and changed the rest while we were there as the rate was better.
You'll have a fab time!
