Hi Cazzntom, We were on the 19th floor but we asked for a high one as I didn't have the kids with me this time. If you email Amaila on reception before you go then she will do her best to accomodate you. I bribed her with a box of chocs and she was delighted when I handed them to her. (I think that she thought I was kidding ) .We faced the back of the hotel so had a lovely view instead of overlooking tower blocks and were fortunate to have a large family room for the 2 of us. I thought that they were all the same but got talking to some people who's room was much smaller than our.
Around the pool it is a little shaded by the Hotel Melia so just be careful where you sit. In the morning you are best parking your bums near the restaurant end.
You could also use the rooftop pool depending on the ages of your kids.(adult only) which is a great suntrap. It opened until 6pm but that may change for the summer months.
You have a choice of either going in the downstairs lounge which has different acts on every night. I noticed that most of them were advertised in the music bars in Beni too. To be honest we only saw the Michael Jackson lookalike in there and he was quite good.
There is also the Piano bar which was mostly filled with the 55+ age group but it was March remember.
The bar on the left as you go in did not have entertainment but was a nice place to go and talk and be heard.
The staff were really nice except one misery (I'm sure that i've read about him on here before) They do appreciate it if you put a few coppers in the tip jar but you're not obliged, they don't scowl at you if you don't.
Have a great time, what date do you go

Oh no Cazzntom, I've just seen your post on the Regente, rolls reversed then because that's where we're going with the kids in May, hope it's not as bad as what you experienced, I've heard some positive views about the hotel. I had a look around last week and it looked fine, not plush like the Oasis but I didn't expect that. After all you get what you pay for and the Oasis would have been £1,000 more for our family for a fortnight.
We had a look around the place last year.
We remember it getting built, as we walked back from the aqua park when my son was in the buggy and thought it would be an exceptional hotel back then.
