We have a cut off point for our reviews which at present is set at 2004.
We also check the country of the poster and will not allow reviews to be posted from the country where the accommodation is situated. We do this to protect the holidaymakers from receiving what could be a biased postings either by the hotel itself or one of its rivals.
I was not aware that there was a 'cut off' point for reviews, but following on from this very important discussion, and taking into consideration David's very valid remarks made in response to my own personal comments about the Rio Park, is there not some way that any Hotel that has been Refurbished, Extended, Redecorated or had a change of Ownsership (as in the Barcelo Pueblo - now the Benidorm Pueblo) within say the past eighteen months could be 'endorsed' as such on the Hotel Review pages, so that reader's can take into account the date of the Poster's visit and decide for themselves whether or not those comments are still worth considering when deciding on their choice of accomodation?
Would that be feasable? Just a thought?
