Markas - take travellers cheques but also take enough Euros to last you at least a day or 2.
It's worthwhile shopping around as the rates vary considerably around the resort.
We have always found that we get a better rate over there than here (altho' we now use M&S and usually get a comparable rate here now). Whilst away we always use Pireo in Cala Bona - she knows us so we don't have the hassle with having to take passport and is always a few cents higher than everywhere else and doesn't charge commission.
There are plenty of places that offer exchange facilities in Cala Millor & Cala Bona and most don't charge commission.
The question is do we take sterling traveller cheques or euro ones?
We always go for Sterling.
Could have them delivered to home or local branch.
Have ages to wait until I go to Cala Millor (17 August).........

You will have no problem using it in Mallorca.
Really easy to apply for - we applied for ours on a Friday and the following Friday we got all the account details and cards.
Hope this helps
