Wow what can I say not been on for a while due to flood at home now our house is a building site so should feel well at home at the KABC!!

Seen the photos in gallery but would like to see more if avaliable!!!

Last night when on FC site I could book to go to Kos but today a different story.

After all with Pegasos palace in Turkey did not think it would happen to me twice, but I have had bad luck lately by the bucket load!!

Anyone had any new info from FC?

OK two new photos uploaded. They are in the photo gallery upload section. They WILL move to the Kos album after a while so DONT PANIC!!
The first one shows a good view of the apartments. They all look finished to me, windows ligths etc. (Please excuse the thumb in the photo and please dont take the mickey)
The second photo shows a stretch of the beach just near the hotel. It is currently covered with dried seaweed due to winter storms etc. It will look fantastic in summer! You can see it is gently shelving, this carries on out at a shallow depth for some way out. and runs for many miles into Tingaki and past!!

Buildings look great and you're right, it looks much bigger. Hopefully, we'll all be OK and the work will indeed be finished in time.

well i think its just a case of us waiting for the postman to bring us our cancelled letters now, as i have just been on the first choice web site and kabc has completetly dissapeard from the list of holidays for 2006,
who will be the first to get thier letters?

Thinking of the new Holiday village in the Dominican Republic but think I will stay away from FC next year try someone else!!

The new photos look a bit more promising but still a hell of a lot to do in under a month!!

Whilst this scenerio does look similar to just before Corfu ABC was cancelled I have to say that this looks like an entirely different situation.

Whilst the construction may not appear to be on schedule it is vastly ahead of progress on the Corfu site, which at the time of cancellation had no signs of building activity whatsoever, due to the legal arguments that occurred due to significant inconsistencies in the planning documents.

So unless some other major event has happened I cannot see why they would cancel the whole thing at this stage, being so near completion.

To the complete layman, it does look as though they may struggle to open on time, but I've no experience in resort building, so my opinion is just that.

I can only say that I am hopeful that cancellations are few (if any) and they do manage to open on the promised date.

We may be joined by some people from Trip Advisor - noticed recent postings (past couple of days) about Kos ABC and whether it will open on time. Debbie, saw your posting there letting them know to come and join the fun here.
Photos look promising though and bet its a lovely resort and all shiny and new and clean when finished.

The reason why it can't be booked at the moment is because First Choice say they have stopped selling it for a week.

The reason that they have given is that they are changing their dataases to sell holidays of only 7 or 14 days duration rather than 10/11 days as well.

This means that nobody will be able to book anything to this resort during the next few days until FC put it back on sale again.

Het hotel zou 28 april opengaan, maar naar aanleiding van een bezoek van onze collega hebben wij besloten om het hotel open te laten gaan op 21 mei zodat het hotel helemaal af zal zijn als onze klanten arriveren.
Uiteraard gaan wij hier ook vanuit en staan wij hierachter.
Echter kunnen wij dit nooit 100% garanderen als er onverwacht iets gebeurd waardoor er een vertaging komt.
Mocht u willen omboeken dan zouden wij voor u kunnen kijken wat dan de mogelijkheden zijn.
Nogmaals is dat op dit moment niet van toepassing.
Wij hopen u naar wens te hebben geïnformeerd.

Dutch, so I'll try to translate a little bit:
Go Best is aware of all the information on internet (in my mail I've sent the link to the pictures). Untill now KosABC is due to be opened May 21st. At first, the club would be opened April 28, but after a visit from our collegue at the club, we could not assure the club to be ready. We decided to open on May 21st, so the club would be ready when our clients arrive. Offcourse we believe this, and we stand to this point. However, we could not guarantee this for 100% when we have unexpected delay. Should you consider booking something else, we will see what is possible. But at this moment, that is not possible yet. We hope that we have informed you well.
Sorry, it was a long time ago I went to school and learned this stuff, so it was a bit hard to translate.

Tomorrow I will phone them, try to change our booking into something that is finished, we are thinking about Turkey (Pegasos, Side).

Today only a month till the opening date!

Hi all, just got back in from work and was pleased to see new pics, thanks FA and SP55, the beach does look a lot better taken from that angle, the apartments look good and can see that they have sea views (am I correct sp55?) I feel a little happier seing these, as the other pics were very depressing.

Hi claudia you did a great job translating that, it never ceases to amaze me how people from other countries can speak and write my language where as I can only say a handful of school days french.

I am still not buying the FC excuse about the website updates and 10 days as that is total crap. you COULD NOT book 10 days on the web anyway.
