in marmaris there is a roundabout with a large globe statue on it. This is open a little and there is a pearl inside. I call it the pearl roundabout. Its just as you get into marmaris and the yigit restaurant is near to this roundabout.

I cant place the exact location of the portofino but its basically a 5min walk from its old location. As you are walking down from the long beach towards the main road turn left and its just a few mins along the road. Sorry I cant be more specific, my memory not that good lol! Ill be back out there in 2 and half weeks time, ill have a proper look then

If in Icmeler try the Lighthouse had a lovely meal in here and had to return on our last night. If you are after cheap, there is a turkish pide place just after the crossroads heading towards the old village on the left where you can eat really cheaply, We had pides salad and two beers came to 18 lira

Natalies steak house is a must on a visit to marmaris. We have never seen steaks like these even after our frequent visits to the u.s.a.
the steaks are more like a small joint of beef and are cooked to perfection. Although a little dearer than other places its well worth the money.
I also have to agree about the portofino the only place in marmaris to get a traditional sunday roast with all the trimmings plus all other traditional english meals. And as for the couple who own it such lovely people.
For more traditional turkish food we loved a place called the ibiza not far from the portofino and club julian hotel.
The food in turkey is usually of a very high standard so you should have no trouble in finding some great places to eat.
enjoy
