Discussions regarding holidays in the Costa Del Sol.
Hi, we are going to La Cala de Mijas in August with our 3 fair skinned kids and wondered if the water parks would allow the children to wear those brilliant UV suits that are available nowadays? I have bought them the long sleeved and long legged type which they wore on hol last year in South of France at a waterpark with no probs, they are brilliant at protecting the kids from the harmful sun. We were going to visit the Mijas waterpark as we are staying nearer to that one, but i have been reading on here that the Toromelinos one is the better? i did email the Mijas park about the suits but they never replied (prob thought crazy british woman!!) would be great if anyone living out there or due to visit soon could find out for me? Thanx alot, don't want kids to fry!!

Hi there,

Yep, the UV sunsuits are absolutely allowed in the water parks. We go to Costa Del Sol every year late July and they are an absolute godsend! And you save on the sun tan lotion!

Also the water park in Tor is MUCH better than the mijas one!

PS If you think you will go twice, you get the 2nd visit half price, but let them know at your 1st.

We went last summer to the one in Fuengirola/Mijas and we were very dissapointed with it. Not as good as some of the others we have been to.

Thank you so much to everyone for the helpful replies, i am so relieved to now know that the kids can wear their UV suits, looks like we will def go to the Tor water park rather than the Mijas one. Cheers

Hello, I arrived home from the costa del sol on friday afternoon after spending two great weeks at the holiday village (first choice), we spent last tues at the aquapark we brought out ticket through our rep at the hotel which also covered the visit to the croc park next door, which was fab, we paid 121 euros for both visits for 2 adults 2 children 1 infant, we had a great day out, the aqualand covers all ages with a fab mini pool section for the little ones. Have a nice holiday.

Can anyone advise which waterpark would be best for a group of lads aged between 27 and 32 (we're just big kids really). We're staying in Puerto Banus and will be hiring a car so the location isn't really an issue its just which park has the most suitable slides etc.

Thanks

Many thanks

Aqualand in Torremolinos is nearest to you. You get the prices and directions on the link below, although I think the directions are woefully inadequate. Hopefully others who have made the trip from the Bali area will provide greater help.
