have not stopped in the hotel but we spend a lot of time in Summer Lovers which is directly across from the hotel and everyone we have spoke to said it was very good,
It sits on a lovely quiet bay, The bus stops right outside the hotel and a small supermarket next to the Summer Lovers Pub, Good decent entertainment and a good karaoke not the usual rabble organised by Daphne the managers wife, Summer Lovers opens all the year round and Zenios the manager is a scream.

Hi there

We holidayed at the Kouzalis in May of last year and would be happy to give you our opinions.

firstly, the hotel is clean and modern with plenty of amenities (tennis court, well-equipped gym etc) and the pool terrace and surroundings are really nice.

The food left a lot to be desired (though I've read in certain reviews that this has been somewhat rectified) and the entertainment was pretty dire though this was due to early season teething problems. For the first few days there was one 'entertainer' who was replaced by a boy and girl from the Czec Republic and Holland respectively. They where so embarrasing we wanted the ground to swallow us up on their behalf! (why does this happen?).
Needless to say, they where both sacked within a week and were replaced by a lovely couple who did their best to salvage the last few days (although they lacked any real 'drive').

This is only our experience and I'm sure the situation improved throughout last season and anyway, if you're visiting this October it will probably be altogether different, entertainment-wise.

One more thing -- it's close to a small sand/shingle cove which has massive rocks just below the surface which can be quite dangerous when swimming. Great for snorkelling though (it's like the Great Barrier Reef under there!).

Hope this has been of help. There's lots more to tell so if you need any more info, please feel free to PM us. :D

Hi
Can anyone please tell me where the Kouzalis hotel is situated. I have a map of Penera and Protaras, but can not find its location anywhere.

Can anyone point me in the right direction by perhaps letting me know of the names of other hotels around it.

Thanks Gillian

Gillian sorry but all I can tell you is it's actually in Paralimni :(

Don't know if you've read these reviews

Thanks everyone It's a little out of Protaras than we thought, but I'm sure we will have a good time.

Hi Claire My husband and myself will be coming in the third week in October. Who are you a rep for? We are booked with Thomas Cook.

After reading a bad report on another web page we were slightly concerned about the hotel and its location. We thought it was closer to Pernera than it is. We are still looking forward to our trip and look forward to may be seeing you.

Thanks for getting in touch Gillian

i work for olympic holidays, you can walk to pernera it would take approx 30 mins which isnt bad its nice for an after dinner stroll before starting on the beer, when your on the coach it feels alot further away so dont panic :D

Thanks for getting back to me Claire.
Pernera looks so far away on the map. We stayed in Pernera 2 years ago and we really enjoyed our stay. We are coming to the Kouzalis to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday.

You have now put our minds at rest, as we thought we were going to be stuck out in the sticks. The hotel does sound nice so we can now look forward to our holiday.

Thanks Gillian :D

HI

We did consider this hotel for next year but decided on Turkey instead. The travel agent in TC did however recommend this hotel and said she had a great time when she stayed there last year. in normal circumstances we would take this with a ginormous pinch of salt however we have been going to the same local travel agent for years and trust her and her colleagues. sure you will have a ball, although the tree frogs are a bit noisy, mind you, you can never find a sniper when you want one!LOL!
