Can anyone please advise on the car parking available in Albufeira, we are staying at the Brisa Sol apartments next month, is there a charge for parking at this hotel? I have read on another review that gypsy/travellers often ask for a few Euro's to make sure your car doesn't come to any harm. Does anyone have any experience of this.

No parking problems at the Brisa Sol or indeed nearby. I did see a few asking for money to allocate parking spaces a little furher up near the Modelo supermarket, but this was during the afternoon.

I have not experienced them doing any damage even if you turn them down. Most of the time there are local security guards around moving them on now anyway.
