See a past review on the Lagoon and surrounding area here http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=24685&highlight=lagoon
Hope that helps..........as you'll see from my post in that post it's a lovely area...............and yes a taxi to the centre of Napa is advisable (loooong walk) Although there's also a bus stop right outside your hotel too
we just got back yesterday from Olympic Lagoon - absolutely fantastic! noticed for the pre world cup match on Friday(?) against Jamiaca the hotel had a huge screen rigged up in the bar - would guess they will do the same for the W cup games. if not, planty of local bars just outside the hotel will def be showing them. enjoy yr stay!
Is it worth the trip to Nissi Beach ?- We are staying on a hotel right on the "main" beach - Is it worth the trip to Nissi and if so why ? I know lots of good things have been said about it but surely a sunny beach is a sunny beach - what makes the trip worth it
Nissi is one of the Best Beaches in Cyprus! Young people ONLY , bars, music..etc.. very busy beach, Highly recommended.
nissi bay never been to cyprus but needed a change and saw adams beach hotel in nissi bay looks lovely but need some feedback can anyone help? many thanks
Gail...
hi gail thinking of going end of july next year just been reading some reviews which mostly sound good going with hubby sister and partner and 13 year old son
Another good review site is
Hi I stayed at the Adams Beach in May and it is a fantastic hotel. Great fr families and couples. Big swimming pool one of them with a slide. Overlooking the sea and Nissi beach which is one of the best beaches. The rooms are of a good size and breakfast id good too lots of choice everything from porridge to a fry up! Nissi bay is quite quiet about 10mins drive into the centre of Ayia Napa so if your looking for a relaxing holiday it is in an ideal location. The waterpark is not far up the road either which is a good day out.Highly recommend this hotel its fab!
thanks for replys guys aymzc you say its fairly quiet which is ok but are there afew bars and restaurants about cos thinking about just going b&b but dont want to be going to napa every night to eat
HT Reviews can be found here. Walked past on the beach a few times and looked nice.
I can not belive you say that nissi beach is only for the young. We went to nissi beach in june/july and we found that it was all familys and a few young people. The kids loved the trampolines and the pedloes. I do agree that nissi beach is lovley, one of the best beaches ive been to
apart from all the cigarette ends that get left in the sand.....
Pity more didn't think the same.
Mind you Fig Tree Bay is just the same in Protaras and the locals even call it "Fagg But Bay"
I agree with digimedias comments above, the feel of the beach is very young, which is why i like it, it kind of reminds me of ibiza with a mixture of beach bars playing various types of music and a large younger scene
one of the nice things about nissi beach is the litte island just a few hundred yards of the beach where you can walk out too, subject to the tides, makes great scenery
As far as i can remember there were bars and restaurants close by. I only stayed there for 2 nights on a work trip so didnt get to see much else. Although I have myself been on holiday to Napa and a must is the fiji restaurant which is polynesian food. It is the best restaurant I have ever been to. The food is amazing!
still thinking about here for a hol next year can anyone tell me how far nissi is from the troodos mountain range and is there afew places to have a walk about in nissi area thanks
only me again also can someone tell me what the typical cost is for eating out and also drinks in bars compared to spain and canaries many thanks
As a general rule of thumb prices in Cyprus in the tourist areas tend to be the same as the UK roughly.
I always recommed peeps to take enough spends as if they were going out at home to eat and drink. Food can be cheaper in restaurants with good deals but generally alcohol is the same you just get a little more
Many posters on here advocate getting out of the tourist areas where you can get meals and drinks cheaper.
As for Nissi Bay area there are lots of hotels/apartments and it's walkable into central Ayia Napa (longish walk) but could be a pleasant stroll if your not in a hurry. Plenty of bars and restaurants en route. As for the distance to Trodos you can get an idea by looking at a map of Cyprus. Plenty of places in central Ayia Napa to organised trips if you didn't want to hire a car.
many thanks for info miss chief1
