There is one main moterway in Gran Can, the rest is just windy rouds along the cliff edge! Mogan, where you are staying is lovely and the views as you drive there are stunning. The moterway ends near PR and then it is just one main road after that. It is well signposted and it is virtually impossible to get lost! The roads are in pretty good nick, but like i say, the road to Mogan is very windy and goes along the cliff edge.

It is a short drive to PR, which is very lively..and if you are looking for adventure, then that is the place to find it, Mogan is a port and is called Little Venice, it is really pretty with all its little canals and stuff and can be lively during the day, but it is very tranquil at night. There is a good beach there and lots of boat trips ( fishing, dolphin watching) and the "Yellow Submarine" is very popular. The busiest day there is Friday which is market day.

Don't forget to take your driving licences..we did last time we went and were restricted to buses and taxi's and couldn't trog round as much as we normally do!!

The main roads are much the same as at home but more twisty and, in some places, precipitous.
If you are adventurous you might like to try the road up to San Nicolas or even across to Ayacata. This is one of my favourite drives but it is not for the faint hearted

Thanks alot. I'm sure we will hire a car but i think i'll be frightened to death of being too adventurous, it'll stucking to the main roads as much as possible for us i'm afraid... don't think the insurance will cover a cliff fall/explosion!? Thanks again.
