Hi Jay-P, I was just about to post the same thing. We fly on 18 June for a fortnight at the Isaac's and I received the same letter today!

I was over there at Easter. Didn't stay at Isaac but dropped down to see if it was open to say hello to the manager there - it wasn't so I didn't. There was no building work adjacent to it then. In fact the only thing directly adjacent to it is its carpark :?

You could call the Isaac on 00357 23 833334 and ask for Andreas - his English is very good.

I am interested in the response you get on this one.

hi everyone - we are also travelling out to the Issac on 18th June for a week and are concerned about what has been posted here. I have pm'd Bluemax as she was kind enough to let me know what was going on. Anyone had any more news on this???

If the building work is going ahead do the travelling agents have to let you know???? can you request to be moved etc????

We are travelling with Aspro and have not been told of any problems. I spoke to them on Friday to check to see if our tickets had been dispatched (which they hadn't) and nothing was mentioned to me then.

Hi Bluemax, don't know about you but at the moment i'm not amused, I haven't been away for a few years due to one thing and another, so was really looking forward to the tranquil rest ha ha ha I bet knowing my luck it will be like one of those horror holidays they show on the tv....... no on a more serious note I think as pubdog suggested I will telephone Isaac , will let you know what they say. We go out on the 11th only for a week this time, (wonder if thats an omen) ha ha.

 At least you got a letter warning you.

When we went to Protaras 2 years ago, we got to the Apts at three In the morning......... we were woken up at 7.00am ........ diggers etc ........ they were only building some Villas right behind our Apartment window

..........the rep tried to fob us off by saying they had only just started building them........ rubbish!!........they were nearly finished!

I complained when we got back home.......... we got £400 off our Holiday to Protaras this year........... so at least SOME good came out of It I suppose

JP - I'm going with two of my friends kids, so peace and quiet was not an option for me  I think I will check the fact file closer to the time and see whats on there. If its just a bit of noise now and again I can cope with that, to be honest I'm just looking forward to getting away from this gloomy weather seeing some sunshine

Hi everyone just to let you know i have just telephoned the Isaac and aske to speak to Andreas as pubdog suggested, as he speaks good english but unfortunately he isn't in work until the morning, but I spoke to another guy and asked him if he could tell me if there will be building works going on when i go out there 11th June mysteriously his english broke up a little and asked me to call andreas in the morning so will try again and let you know whats said. fingers crossed must remember to pack my ear defenders ha ha .

I hope you don't have any problems there and if so I hope it doesn't spoil your holiday.

Where you are going is a lovely area so enjoy it.

to be honest cardiff lad - so long as its hot and sunny i dont really care. if there is building work going on we will just spend more time at the beach instead of the pool.

would just be nice to know what to expect though.

not long know. i can taste the salads and kleftico from here!

I know what you mean mdaly, the sooner I get to my favourite restaurant on the Prot strip the better so I can get a lovely kleftiko the better.

Hi all - I have today been in touch with Aspro about the building works as notified by the other members on here. Aspro are UNAWARE of any work being carried out! The guy is going to email the resort and find out exactly what is underway and they have said that they will transfer us to different accommodation at no cost to us. However, he said this would take approximately 48 hours to get any information back from the resort.

anyone else had any further news?

if its just normal work being completed i haven't got a problem with that atall - but i must admit i am a bit worried that it will be big diggers etc with really loud noise.

Hi one and all just to let you know I have just spoken to Isaac regarding the building works, and they assured me that there have been no complaints about any noise etc, the building works are to the rear of the apartments and again they assured me that there is nothing to worry about obviously the tour companies have to notify us of any building works to cover themselves. So lets all chill and enjoy our holidays

As notified by JP - I have been given exactly the same answers from Aspro. they too have confirmed that the building works are near completion and are at the back of the apartments past the car park. therefore, they feel that no noise will be experienced.

fingers crossed all should go well

Happy holidays!

I remember we drove down the street behind the Issaca and there was a refurbishment going on at some apartments in that area but like has been mentioned appeared to be well under way, that was end of April.

there is I understand plans to build villas in the land in front of the Issaca but nothing seems to be happening as yet,
