Firebird I thought the KABC was in Tingaki? I must of misread the details on the web site. So how far away from Tingaki are we going to be?
What is the beach that we are on? And is there much around the area we are staying? I take it you have been to this area quite a lot?
KABC is around four KM from Tingaki in the direction of Lambi/Kos Town.
Its is in a quiet area with not a lot around it. It is probably Midway between Kos Town and Tingaki. The beaches along this stretch are very nice, but dont have sunbeds etc on them. Apart from the KABC beach (as long as it is ready) Should only be a couple of Euros into Tingaki in a cab though.
Well what can i say i will miss my flight going at 7.30am i'd better have a quick look around the duty free shop theres me thinking i had all the time in the world
Why is everyone still trying to make dummy bookins on the fc website have a little faith in them i know i have because if its not ready it will look so bad for them, chill
Bye for now
Tanya
Do you think the hotel will be easy enough to find in the dark ?
We arrive at midnight and want to hire a car from the airport but we're a little worried about finding the place at night time.
Hi all, welcome trickyneath, we usually stayat the Aspro spiti apartments next to the supermarket and yes Tingaki beach is beautiful and the sea so clear, I even started snorkeling in this sea something that i thought i would never do, but because sea so clear I wasn't nervous at all, I am not a very good swimmer.
Hi mrsmel. we are going to KABC on the 30th aug, flying out at 7.30a.m. from manchester. god knows how i will be able to get kids up and ready to set off about 4.00a.m.
Hi Alex UK i guess it wll be easy to find! There is only one main road that runs end to end of the island and everything else runs off this. If i had to drive there i guess iw ould head from theairporttowards Kos Town. Take the turning into Tingaki, which is a left. Head all the way to the seafront and turn Right. KABC is around 4k up that road. More or less! It may be better to PM SP55 and ask him if this is the best route. He may know a better or quicker way in. If you need anymore info just PM me.
Thanks for the replies, I'd love to have a drink with you all at some point of the holiday. I'll even buy them myself
is going to let us no about kabc if they are out there
As the saying goes - no news is good news
All I am looking for is a nice AI with a good pool/slides area. Turkey seems to have the monopoly on them but this one seemed great until I read it hadn't even opened...
Mandibee the KABC opens on the First of July. It not taken off sale. It is in the late deals section of the website.
As for Alex uk, the fastest way in is to stay on the main road until you hit the Skoda dealership, turn left, at the first intersection turn right for 20m and you should see the lights of the hotel on the left. The safest way is to follow Firebird's directions. Car rentals at the hotel or airport will be more expensive than booking in Tingaki resort. I have heard some people have gotten real good deals pre booking in England.
Sukaay's description of the local drinks was accurate. When a brochure refers to "local drinks" they usually refer to no name brands of the basic drinks (run, vodka, gin, whiskey and a few others) plus ouzo and wine. As for the beer do not expect Amstel, Heineken or Mythos. If you are lucky you will get a Bavarian Beer, brewed in Greece, Lowenbrau. It has its critics but I like it. Not too sweet, not too bitter. Never got a hangover drinking it. Other AI hotels offer cheap no name brand of Greek beer, or beer imported from Hungary. Whenever I see a tourist with an armband, or a person who works in such a hotel, I ask them, that is how I know.
First time poster!
.
On the 15th May I have booked to go to KABC for 2 weeks on the 9th July from Gatwick (I am from the midlands but they wanted an extra £450 to fly from birmingham on the same date).
It was only after booking that i found out it had not been built , so i am relying on you guys to keep us informed.
IF we do actually get there (fingers crossed), I will post and tell you all about it.
Keep up the good work!
Paul Wilkinson
Welcome wilki
thanks Paul and welcome do have a look through the other sections like gen holiday enquiries flights (if you have a problem) and please do click the link and download/print the safe and sound book to keep with you
Hi all, have just paid the full balance on the holiday it's amazing how quickly it goes out of your account!!! So now it's lots of positive thoughts and fingers crossed that all is well and it opens
I'm still feeling very positive. For some strange reason I believe all that FC are saying only 7 weeks 1 day to go
