Hi there,

I also managed to do a dummy booking tonight and it was still available from Glasgow on 19/7, strange thing was though, it is an awful lot cheaper (about £700) than it was yesterday, for exaclty the same flight, room etc! Thi is now only about £250 more than I paid for it when I booked it last May.

We'll just need to wait and see......................again :?

Hi Paula3412,

I do hope my entrance to the forum makes me look a complete fool and the reason I could not do online booking earlier was due to the web site update. The fact that the guy at FC said it had been withdrawn, I will be glad to take with a pinch of salt as he is more than not just as well informed as the rest of us, providing as if my magic all the allocations re-appear tomorrow or whenever the site is opperational again. We are so up for our holiday at KABC like you our hearts are set on it.

Everything crossed

Hi ctaylor, no you don't look a fool. You are only saying what the rest of us are all thinking. We will be going, just be positive. I think we have more reason to be jittery than the rest of you as we go 1st July but we are still confident we will be there. If not. so what. it is not the end of the world and we will go somewhere else and have just a good time. I know you have probably planned it for a long time but you chose kabc and where else would you have gone if this wasn't available? This is just a general comment for all those that think that it is not going to open then look in the brochures and have your reserves ready. If FC cancel now then they have well and truly c***ed up and will have big penalties to pay.

Just a thought
FC may have taken the web site down to see if they can build a KABC'2' during the next month, because of the massive demand of from all our dummy web bookings.

Just a thought!!

I think it's time for bed now, as I had to have 2 G&T's to recover from my earlier escapades.

Nite Nite
Carole.
PS I've taken to this posting lark! and all these months I've just been reading....

Hi all, Ouzo is a traditional drink in greece if you like pernod you will like this, it is similar to Turkish Raki. nice served with meze appetizers, it is mixed with water or on ice. Produced on Lesbos. My mum, who will be joining us again, drinks nothing else and always brings back her duty free ouzo

locally produced Heineken, Henninger,Kaiser. Amstel and Mythos are the ones that we drink. I don't usually drink beer but found i enjoyed the last two in an iced glass :) lovely in 35 degree heat.

My drink is vodka.

Mataxa is a sweet brandy, usually given to you after a meal in a taverna or resturant, no charge sometimes you are given more than one and the local people are in no rush for you to leave.

Retsina, is a white wine.

Mavrodafni is a sweet liquor-style red wine witha high alcohol percentage I havn't tried this one.

The only "locally produced" beer in that list is Mythos, the others being German and one Dutch, in All-Inclusive speak "locally produced" generally translates as "cheapest".

The cheapest beer is generally Lowenbrau (German), and this is what tends to be found in the All-incs that I have been told about.

Hi to all you new members joined, so many posts I've just read can't remember all names sorry.
Keep trying to book online is making your positive sides go a little, just remember computers and sites are continuously having hitches. I think we should now all try and be more positive and think of all them free drinks - do you think they will let us on the slides after a few :!: :rofl
By the way the free AI substitute spirits are normally very good just a little week but you just tend to drink more with less mixer and cos you can't taste the spirit that much you tend to get drunk rather quickly. Most hotels I've been to do cocktails normally around 3 or 4 on the AI menu.
Hi Paula, Yes they are all a well matched age oh apart from the babs that is, its a shame he isn't old enough for the creche but we have now booked nanny in so sure she will be helping out a lot
I feel really positive today and I feel really positive with the answers I have had from that separate telephone number they give you now at FC.
I think the call centre (like any call centre) don't know enough about 1 subject, they have too many other holidays to deal with.
Here is to positive thinking and a great time in KABC :glynis :ghug :glynis

Sukaay you did not need to edit your post or apologise your were correct.

Both Heineken and Amstel are produced in Greece by Athenian brewery. Henninger Hellas is a greek brewer who produce the Henninger beer, which is based on a German recipe. So all of the above are Locally Produced.

Hello again Wilson Family,

Please come over and speak to us when we finally get there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We should be easy to spot - My twins are identical, although they are trying to look different with new hair styles. 4 of us are blonde and my husband is the one with the largish belly and dark hair :!:
Fingers, toes, arms and legs crossed that we can have a good giggle about this on holiday!

I've looked for alternatives and F/C offered to let me change, unfortunately there is nothing on the market like this place. Unless you wish to travel to Turkey and we wouldn't go there! So we're hanging on until the last minute, but i could really do without the stress............
:(

Hi Carole,

Like you I've been watching for months and just got started on this posting lark! What dates are you going :?:

Normally i don't drink, however much more of this and i'll be turning to the bottle (wine)!

My kids are so excited about the waterslides and wave pool that it will be such a let down if they cancel on us. I've also booked to go to Egypt at xmas and thats being built as we speak. I hope i'm not going to have to go through this twice in a year :!: :!: :!:

Hi Paula, We have one of them ridiculous flights so arrive early hours of the 20th. So you will have to look out for us!!! We will be the 1's that look like they are sleep walking looking for sunbeds around the pool. I take it your hubby is a beer drinker with the larger waistline  My hubby has a little bit of a beer belly but is trying to loose it before we get there, don't tell him i said that. I need to loose nearly a stone, keep loosing it in the week and putting it back on at the weekends if i can't loose it looks like I'll be buying a whole new wardrobe rather than topping it up.
There can't be many families with 3 older kids 1 blonde babs and a nanny so we should be easy to spot, we will be able to laugh about this whole issue because I am so positive everything is going to be ok and the 1st July people will be the first lot to go followed by us lot.
The stress is all over look for the good days and nights at the KABC

Can someone tell me please how you put a picture under your name, its not fair (sound like one of the kids now) because i cant even ask them how to do it because they don't know we are going to Kos.

Hi Wilson Family,

Go into your profile and select Avator at the bottom, pick a picture. Simple!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too was over weight, but had a mid life crisis and started going to the gym every day. (Killer) but its now paying off - although my belly is still there and my fat legs. I'm trying - another 7 weeks at the gym and who knows i may look like POSH :D

I'm going to stay positive now after all I'll be getting my £1000 back in the post shortly curtesy of F/C. They wouldn't budge at first but when i threatened to cancel they came good (Amazingly) Tried to tell me the price had gone down because of last minute deals !!Sure!!!!!!!!!! I said more likely to be because of the bad publicity and all the cancellations!
Anyway now i'm going a week later it gives more time to sort out the little problems they may have.

Speak soon

Yes Yes Yes, I have a picture  thank you lee (greeneyedgirl), firebird apache and Paula for all your help.
Paula well done for getting some money back, fc don't deserve any extra profit from what they have done to the May and June guests that were suppose to go.
Haven't been to the gym for ages - don't get the time anymore with the little one
Roll on 7 weeks 5 days. This weather is so depressing

Hi all,

First post for me!

My girlfriend and I are headed out to the Aqua Beach on the 19th July, we booked today with FC and only had to pay 880 for the week. Couldn't fault the price for an AI to be honest.

I've been to Kos twice before when I was a kid and stayed in the Sunset Hotel in Tingaki, can't wait to see the place again. The beach in Tingaki is beautiful altho the sand can get extremely hot during the day so make sure the little ones stay near shade or at least have flip-flops on.

I'm flying from Bristol so if any of the others going on the 19th from Bristol fancy meeting up for a quick drink before the flight just PM me and we'll sort it out. I believe my flight time is around 6pm.

-Rich.
