Hi vikkims, I assume you mean the new bar to the side of mambos that has recently been constructed?(well cant remember it being there last year). there was a guy there serving but didnt get his name...and he didnt have a name tag on either.
The Pete Tong night was very busy (as expected) probably due the fact of his name sake film its all gone Pete Tong)...I guess, then again hes a popular guy.

Were you there???

Hey Lukey and Vikkims.

Excuse me for jumping in but i'm heading out in September with my nearly 4 year old daughter. Never been to Ibiza but am a regular in the dance scene (Global this year should be awesome), is it the sort of [place i'll be able able to take my daughter (Cafe Mambo)? Obviously not for a mad session, just to chill for a couple of hours, let her see the sights and DJ's. She's a huge fan of Fatboy Slim and Tong and loves all things dance related. Where else do you think would be suitable? Cheers Guys

The girls in the webcam are the 'ibiza angels' they offer a sort of beach massage service in ibiza for a small donation...nothing seedy, not sure who they are promoted by, saw them there last week and they offered to give me one whilst sitting watching the sunset in mambos

Markymark, mambo is certainly for all ages as are the other sunset bars next door, cafe del mar, savanha, coatline etc. The area attracts people of all ages including families and locals where hundreds of people flock to the beach, bring their own drinks and watch the sun set to the sounds of chill out beats from all these bars. There are often 'preparty nights' which are a prelude to the clubs where you get a lot of the big name dj's peforming short sets before they move onto the clubs. After the sun goes down there are fire eaters and jugglers etc keeping you entertained. The only place to avoid might be coastline when they are doing a Cream amnesia night (trance night) which tends to get full off young chavs who are into monkey music, although im a big trance fan myself it can get hectic in peak season.

Other places to consider are Kumharas, which is in san antonio bay, quite hippyish sun sets with chill out themses but no big name DJ's
here is a link some of of the places ive mentioned to give you a bit of insite, you can eat at these places as well

Lukey, Cheers for the info. You're a star. I think my daughter's looking forward to it more than i am! Do you recall if there is merchandise for sale in the various places, especially for my daughter. She'd be the envy of nursery if she had a Mambo t-shirt or Cafe Del mar?
Reply
yes, they sell merchandise. Next to mambo is the mambo shop which sells t shirts, jeans and other stuff. Across the road from that is the cafe del mar shop which sells similar items including cd,s

When you order a drink from mambo's they give you a black straw with mambos etched on the side, so nice to keep as a momento.

have pm you with similar message by mistake....

just to add - kids at sunset strip, i took my 6 yr old 2 years ago, he played in the sea with another young lad while i watched the sunset, he then came out of the sea and wondered why everyone was clapping at him!

i think the only worry i had was him wandering off as it was so busy, but i doubt you will have that worry with a 4 yr old.

other things to do with kids is bora bora, obviously not when its jumping, but we went and took another kid, and sat at the bar next door "tahiti" and sat with cocktails and soft drinks and watching the carnage, all good clean family fun!!.

hope you have a good one.
and dont forget the kids clubs, you get 2 hours, so its just possible to check something out if your organised.
