I have the holiday blues!
My four children began the discussion I dread over breakfast!
Started great,we chatted and laughed about the holidays we have had at Aparthotel Rosamar in San An Bay in 2003,2004 and 2005!
Then it happened...."why cant we go this year?"
Cant afford it...as simple as that!
So now I need to cheer myself up this year and be able to see the sun setting from San An!
Not going to happen for me really so what I need is a direct way to see it via webcam.
I once found a site and added it to my favourites!
2 clicks and I was there with the crowd!
Dont seem to remember where or how I got it.
It was a german djs webcam.
While in Ibiza I looked for his apartment balcony and actually saw the cam!!It was above the Savannah next to Cafe Del Mar!
Does anybody know the website address that gets me straight on the live webcam??
For anyone who wants to send themselves into depression pre/post their Ibiza holiday then go on this...

Thanks for that link. just added it to favorites. I'm looking forward to going this year we're staying in the bay
http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk ) last year answered a lot of my questions and gave me plenty of tips and ideas!
One good thing about the webcam is that if you view it the week you are about to jet off it will give you an idea of what time the sun goes down!
It sometimes pans around the bay too! Must be when the owner is in!!
Glad to be of help to someone as this site ( One good thing about the webcam is that if you view it the week you are about to jet off it will give you an idea of what time the sun goes down!

thanks for that I have added it to my favourites can watch the weather to
can someone tell me where this camera is situated I'm new to this part of ibiza please?
it is situtated on the top of an apartment bock, next door to savahnna on the sunset strip on the norther coast of san antonio town....best place on the island for gorgeous sunsets, chill out music and pre parties
On the very right just off screen is the best place to see the sun setting!
My own opinion, just between Cafe Mambo and Cafe del Mar!
The atmosphere is the best!
If you take your own alcohol and sweets/drinks for kids so they keep quiet (if any kids that is-I have 4 and I go on my own so lollies seem to do the job!)
Then I can chill while the sun sets(and so can others!)
Best show in the world......and its free!!!
Once the sun has set, there are various 'street performers' dotted around fire-eating etc.
You could stay there all night, I would but I stay at San An Bay and need to get kids back nearer 'home'!

Is this anywhere near Cala Gracio or I am I the wrong end of the bay
The news is that they are extending the promenade from the harbour int the town round past the sun set strip right up to coastline, the ibiza sun reported last week that final approval has been given. Not sure whether i think this will be a good idea though. Cala Gracio is a little further north, past san antonio, but your sort of in the right direction, the sun set strip is still on the edge of san antonio town not far from calo de moro where as cala gracio if further up the coast a little
thanks for that looked at a map of ibiza and knwo where it is now
i have clicked onto the "sunset"... but nothings happening! what am i doing wrong? ive just been sat staring at my screen for twenty mins and it hasnt changed!
hope its ok now.
This has happened often to me.
If it says camera status:live and also has the correct time (+1 hour!) then it is working ok.
I just clicked on it and the sun is setting.
Looks like a good clear night for a fantastic view.
As its the easter hols theres actually life on the rocks and boats out to see the sun go down!!!

the night doesnt look too good tonight, but think i missed the sunset.... il have to set my alarm for tomorrow night!
WOW!I have only just looked at this link but thankyou so much!it will keep me occupied till i fly out in July and see the real thing
i sat and watched the sunset lastnight... what an amazing sight, it was beautiful, could imagine the hot sun on my face as it was going down.. not long for me now... four weeks and six days!
Really hope I get to see it for real in 2007-will have to start saving up!
ive just noticed that on a clear day... you can see what looks like land across the sea.... is it part of ibiza, or another island?
hi sharonbowen, the prices are out untill oct 2007 with eclipse direct,if you phone them they are offering low deposits £30 each, with the balance of the deposits due jan 2007 then full price 8 weeks before departure, plenty of free child places, or diy, jet 2 are usually out for ibiza in august, then the accomadation booked seperatly is increadibly cheap im sure you are aware of this already, but being an ibiza fan like myself,i know what its like when you are waiting to go regards mo
Trouble is I want a certain hotel (thomsons) with flights included.
not sure if eclipse do it but I will try.
I have been on there before but no summer 2007 hols have come up!
I did this just to get an idea of the prices.
As for the webcam view MITCHELLCLR theres a few 'rocks' dotted about and thats probably what you can see,the biggest of them.
It's called Sa Conillera,I guess its an island really rather than just a rock.
I bet something lives there but not people.
Sharon xx
