For those people who have not been to Benidorm before, you may be wondering what it can offer you. Well, for a start there are over 38.000 Beds to be found in Hotels, Apatments and Guest Houses so you have a very wide choice from which to take your pick. All Inclusive, Full Board, Half Board, Self Catering whichever you prefer you haver a choice.

Then Benidorm can boast four Theme Parks, Aqualandia which was one of Benidorms first ever Water Parks, then right next door you have Mundomar....not a 'Theme Park as such as there are no rides to speak of, more of a small Exotic Animal Kingdom but well worth a visit and within easy reach of the main Resort. Then there is Terra Mittica which is Benidorm's Number 1 Theme Park with all sorts of rides and attractions and some very good Shows. Within close proximity to Terra Mittica, Benidorm has recentley opened its latest offering....Terra Natura which is a sort of cross between a Theme Park and a Zoo.

If you are self catering or half board, or just want to eat out on the odd day here and there, well you have a choice of almost 280 Cafes and 330 Restuarants. There is something like 160 Disco Pubs and 19 Discos and Nightclubs and there is well over 1,300 Bars and Pubs to choose from.

There are two wonderful beaches....The Poniente and the Levante, but there are also a few smaller beaches including Mal Pas, and two small Coves: Ti Ximo and Almadraba where you can escape from the hussle and bussle of the crowds.

Of course Benidorm itself is divided into two main areas, The Old Town which is full of small Bars, Shops, Tapas and quaint little streets with some beautiful old houses to admire. This is where you will find most of the Spanish and this part of Benidrom does have a distinct Spanish 'feel' about it. Then there is the New Town where you will find most of the High Rise Hotels and most of the Nightlife. This part of Benidorm tens to be more geared for the tourist and where most British Tourists choose their accomodation from.

Benidorm boasts a very long 'Promenade' which you can stroll along and enjoy the sea views. Taking a stroll along here at night is a very popular pastime. But a word of warning, despite the way the prm looks, it is not Pedestrianised, so do be careful if you walk along the actual road...keeop an eye out for the traffic.....its best to walk on the pavement. Watch out for the Sand Sculptures which are in abundance around Christmas and New year time.

This list is far from exhaustive, but I hope if you are thinking about visiting Benidorm for the first time that it has given you a small insight on what to expect. One thing is for sure, you will not be bored in Benidorm.
