could anyone tell me what the airport is like in ibiza?
It has runways that planes land and take off from, it has a customs hall, it has moving belts where you can pick up your bags, it has passport control, it has a cafe, it has various shops, a taxi rank, car rental booths in fact is very much like any other airport in the world...... just a little smaller as befits an island with a population of only 200,000
think she knows what an airport is!
the departure lounge is quite spacious plenty of seating area. a few places to get something to eat and quite a few shops to look around-although most were not open when we flew-our flight was at 06.00 am. if you smoke-it is completely a no smoking area.

for pics video and infomation on ibiza airport go to http://www.aena.es.com Last year when we arrived at ibiza airport we were able to smoke when collecting our cases but not in departures can anyone tell me if this is still the case.
There is nowhere to smoke in the airport at all now I hear, my sister in law is there as we speak, and since the new laws regarding smoking have come in in Spain, you will find this is the case! There was no smoking anywhere in Tenerife airport either when we went in January.
Thats the best news I have had all year.The thought of being able to wait for cases without being subjected to smokers defiling my air is fantastic.By the way I find Ibiza airport very good, efficient and spacious for an island of its size.Last year we went to Cyprus and flew to Larnaca - now that is a

Larnaca is bad but not as bad as zante thats the worst airport ever but most beautiful island ever so is worth it. Thanks for all of your advice at least now i know what an Airport is 
wayne zab... im sorry but i disagree with your last message... smoking has been banned from any kind of public transport... and for very good reasons, but then to deprive the smokers of having a tab either befor flight, or after landing is totally unfair, non smokers shouldnt have it always... no i am not a smoker, but fair is fair!!!

Cant they wait until they out of the terminal to defile the air and make themselves stink.Why should I have to wait for cases amongst smoke?
By the way I have often heard it said on landing that the airport is non smoking only to see hundreds start smoking as they enter the terminal.I do hope that this law is now applied strictly.

There is a BurgerKing and a couple of other small outlets. In May I remember getting a couple of small bottles of wine for the good lady and myself and the bar sold made up sandwiches, crisps etc.

don't be put off by the fact that the cafe at the airport is called "ARS"!!
why not take your own food.ie where you have been stopping get the best cobs make up before you go to airport....i have taken nice hot bacon rolls before..in tinfoil...they keep nice and hot ...i never have a meal on plane,,it all depends when you are flying...way pay over the odds.i know its your hols.but more to spend on other things...not sure about food with all what is going on at mo...

i'll be at ibiza airport next sunday, going on my hols, and i don't want to miss my sunday lunch. any idea how much foil i would need to keep my roast beef and gravy piping hot till i get through passport control?

Hi Is there anyone thet can tell me if when you get off the plane at Ibiza airport if they have the tunnels yet,or do you still have to come down the steps of the aircraft and get on the little buses.
you definatly have to use a bus to get to the terminal building,with all planes i think,but definatly with jet 2. mo.
