We have booked for these apartments but notice that they are about 2 kilometres from Polis and Latchi. Just wanted to see if anyone knew the area and was able to tell me if the road is suitable for walking along with children and what the area between Latchi/Polis is like.
Does anyone know if there is easy access to a beach and which the best beaches in the area are.
What about bus and taxi services will these be an option for getting to the beach and the restaurants in the evening?
We have heard there are jeep safaris to the peninsular which sound good, has anyone been?
Any other tips on the area much appreciated!

We know the Latchi/Polis area quite well, but do not know where your apartments are, if you could let us know we may help you a little better.
Latchi and Polis are roughly 2kms. apart. The road between these two is ok for walking with care, especially at the bends. You haven't said what time of year you are going, but if it's June, July or Aug. take the heat into account.
The access to the beach around Latchi is very easy, walk onto it!! That is a shingle beach. There are some sandy beaches further down towards the Baths of Aphrodite but you will need transport.
Unfortunately we aren't too sure about the taxis but there is a bus service.
There are jeep safaris onto the Akamas but you would have to go into Polis or Latchi to enquire
If you like snorkelling go to the little bay at the Baths of Aphrodite, if you can hire a jeep yourself and get up into the mountains, the Troodhos are worth a visit
