our saga continues, after changing from the kabc, to fuerteventura( we fly next wed,) i have read that there is building work next to our hotel.
thomas cook are telling passengers and letting them change there holiday,
i phone first choice and they no nothing! so i am back waiting for an email from the resort now!!!!!!!!!!!
Who in their right mind would ever go somewhere like this without children. We went to the Pegasos Palace this year and as much as we enjoyed it we would never consider it without children. We only booked KABC (and now switched to Club Caleta Dorada) because of the facilities for the children.
In all honesty we would much prefer to go self catering. We feel that part of the holiday is finding nice restaurants each night. For the price we have paid we will still go out and eat a few times but it nice to have the entertainment. It's never really our cup of tea but the kids love it so we are happy.
We are going to Pefkos in Rhodes in Oct for a week B&B and we can't wait. But we are beginning to wonder how we will keep a 10, 8 and 4 year old happy at night without kids disco ect.
Debz32 - you are right!
our holiday saga also continues, we changed from Kos ABC to Koitari Bay in Rhodes, go in aug. there is building work there next to the hotel, first off FC said that they didnt know of any building work going on, after a lot of discussion they finally admitted there is , but dont feel the need to tell people as its not disrupting anyones holidays....easy for them to say when its not their holiday
Mat C
Mat c you might have got cheap flights to NY, so did I, but now let us know what your hotel is going to cost you because you can't get a cheap one there unless you want to stay in a dodgy district. We don't have children and we go AI because sometimes it is the cheapest way to do it. If there are only 2 you get charged under occupancy on sc.
http://www.holidayhotels.com you will find that it actually is on sale and there are pictures of it. Do FC really know what they are doing????
Well the plot just thickens. I have today received an email from a travel rep who asked me for information on what the KABC looks like because it is back on sale and she has been assured that everything is ready. Well I did a little checking and if you look on
so it does.................... but i dont fancy the tap water that it offers on the AI!
the plot does thicken, ive just looked and priced up availability on 26th august this year and for me and hubbie for one week all inc £378 for both of us, I assume that does not include flights, but what on earth is going on? it does look nice in the pics though dont it?
Just returned from Kiotari, there is building work there, but for the whole 2 weeks we never heard a thing and we could see the site from our ground floor terrace. Please do not worry. Worry more about taking high factor suncream as it has been between 38 - 43 degrees for the whole 2 weeks and they say it is set to continue.
Have a good time - we did!!
I can see it on there but can't see any of the piccies (other than the intitial one) and nothing about bottled water.

I doubt it is anything to do with First Choice.
Their position is that they are not using it this year.
So my guess would be much as one of my previous posts where I predicted that either the local operator would open it, or strike a deal with a different operator for what remains of this season.
Holiday Hotels is part of lastminute.com and sells accommodation only without flights.
Ah, and I have just spotted the discrete change of name Kos Aqua Club Hotel not Kos Aqua Beach Club
Anybody fancy contacting FC for their opinion?

I think that First Choice could get uperty if people refer to it by a name other than: Kos Aqua Club Hotel
Even though we are well aware of it's origins
A few weeks ago this company were offering an unamed All-Inc in the area which I enquired about, but they never did contact me.

the plot indeed thickens, just priced it up myself for the identical dates we were going, got a free kids place, 2ad and 2 kids £951, then believe it or not priced up a flight and got one for the 4 of us for £1080, the flight time looked familliar so proceeded on with it, flight number fca 2309, no mystery though, I suppose they have excess seats on that flight now.lol
Still FC are with holding information from all those still booked at the place.
Maybe that is why janenmick saw them placing umbrellas and loungers out just last week.
FC have a lot to answer to, all the messing with peoples bookings this year then leaving the rest of 2007 in limbo.
It does look nice. I am away this Sunday for 2 weeks and am looking to change now. I might just wait and see how things stand from you guys once I come back. Anyway it's looking like Cyprus again or Egypt for next year as an alternative.
Have FC panicked by cancelling all 2006 holidays to the Aqua Club? Should I cancel?
Has anyone actually been there yet or do you think the hotel has just been completed and they are trying to recoup costs?
Any answers welcome.
