hi all.thinkin of going to the hyatt regency taba heights in early sept.going for a week's chillout but after reading all reviews on this and the 3 corners and the marriott getting a bit confused, just a couple of ?s if people can advise,
i do know the difference between the 3 hotels and prefer the hyatt but really asking can you go into the other hotels and maybe have a drink there or use their restraunts paying of course.as just worried that the hyatt maybe to too quiet and maybe aimed at couples and not singles.i love meeting people and dont want to get too bored so hence trying out the other hotels in the evening.
any help would be great.thanks
Robbie - the hotels at Taba Heights now have a system where you can book a meal at one of the other hotels at a discount (you 'trade-in' your meal at the hotel you're staying at for a £3-4 off a meal elsewhere). The number of times you can do this depends on how long your stay is. You can also go for a drink at another hotel without any problems. In addition a 'pub' has now opened up (the Tandoori Pub) near the 3 Corners - haven't actually been there though. For chilling out you'll love the Hyatt. We've just returned from our 3rd stay and would quite happily go there again. Met someone who was on his 17th visit since it opened about 6 years ago!!
thanks for the v quick reply.
that gives me a good idea, its just that say for instance if i am at the hyatt and fancy going to another hotel for a few drinks then that is possible, just also been reading elsewhere something about a dine around card?do you know of this and is it worth it or just eat at the hyatt and pop off for a few drinks elsewhere.thanks
The 'dine around card' could be what I mentioned, I just don't remember it being called that. There was just a booklet in our room giving some details on it. The restaurants you can eat at in the other hotels are the speciality restaurants - I think in the Marriott there's an Italian restaurant whereas at the Hyatt it's Lebanese (you can get the same sort of discount to eat in this one even if you're already at the Hyatt) and can't remember what else was on offer at the other hotels. I have no idea what the other restaurants are like and have read varying reports on various forums. We've never had any problems with the buffet style restaurant at the Hyatt (which comes as part of your half-board package) and have found it varied enough for our likings. I'm sure you'll be able to figure out what's best to do to suit your tastes and will have a great time.
im sure it will all sort itself out once im there.prob book it now tommorrow.if the price i got quoted earlier is still there...fingers crossed thanks for the advice..rob
