I've just learnt that the apartments I'll be staying in, in Ravda have internet connection as standard. So, potentially I can bring the laptop. I've asked my contacts to provide as much info which will come this week about speed etc.
The laptop will be handy for a variety of reasons really. obviously connect to the web ask questions and write a review "as I go" but also, play DVD's, edit photo's and film, allow youngest on to contact her UK friends through chat lines etc.
Anything I need to be aware of with Internet connection in Bulgaria, special or different jack types etc.
Much appreciated.
It's almost impossible to advise you without knowing the type of connection in the apartments, e.g. cable, ADSL, ISDN, dial-up, etc., and whether a router, modem, etc., is provided.

Yeah, I've asked the question and the reply should come today or tomorrow sometime. I'm assuming its ADSL (hopefully) and I'll bring my own modem otherwise I'll have a bit of a setup conundrum.
Infact I'm at the Meridian at mo in their LAN room replying to this thread.
