Welcome to the Algarve forum. If you can give us a bit more info I'm sure you'll get loads of advice. How many of you are there, and are there any children? Would you prefer self-catering or hotel style accommodation? What sort of holiday do you like - quiet or lots of nightlife, lazing on a beach or doing lots of touring, etc.? What has appealed to you about the Algarve and made you want to holiday there?

Let us know and we'll all try to give some useful (?!) advice.

One thing I would recommend is to do it DIY. Flights are cheap if booked in advance, and accommodation is a "snip".
This year is the first time I have done the Algarve, and have booked three times, all DIY.
Something I'm considering for next year, is to book my flights for say a week, and do a few/single days in different resorts. Driving is fairly easy over there, and car hire is also pretty cheap.
I would recommend it, it seems better all round than Spain, which was my usual haunt.
