Glad you had a fab time, we go on Thursday (24th) and are very excited.

Just got a few questions - sorry if you have already answered them.

what was the nappy situation like? if we take a few for the first couple of days will we be able to buy some locally at a reasonable price? and secondly did - or anyone else for that matter use the indoor pool at all, what was it like?, was it part of the fitness club that you have to pay extra for, and was it busy?

Mcfester glad things look like you will still be able to fly on thurs - I'll buy you a drink at the bar if I see you. Oh and our little one has just this week started to use the toilet so the training has begun! the end of nappies is near(ish!)

we are flying from Bristol. My daughter is getting maried over there, that is why their is so many of us. thanks for the info on tipping. hope the chicken-pox clears up for every one, i think all the kids that are going with us has already had it.

Chicken pox just about cleared up, we will definately be going and feel a huge cloud has lifted, fingers crossed nothing elese happens!

It looks like we are on the same plane as retep, 32 of them sounds like the plane is going to be a right laugh if they are all rowdy (Hope so!). We will have two young ones and an older boy with us and we are dreading the late flight! Our youngest ones are a nightmare when they are tired and really don't know what to do if they kick off.

Elbow, get the beers in! only 4 more sleeps and its the bar for two weeks for me! if the OH lets me of course! I will drink that beer you are offering and will of course buy (Sorry Queue!) to get you one! Good news about the toilet training, it is hard work and it gets very tiring when you have to go to the toilet every 5 minutes! We are taking a full pack of nappies from Lidl (Much better than pampers!) in our suitcase. we know this will last the two weeks and wil use the space to fit our bargains home!

Have a great time to those who are leaving tomorrow and will hopefully see soem of you there or even on the flight there, save soem beer for me!

Mary, try these three review pages from this site - no you are not thick, there should only be two (Tropical and Palace) but the hotel is hard to find as it is listed as hotel pegasos palace and hotel Pegasos tropical, hence the reason people leave reviews in pegasos world hotel, as this is the closest to pegasos they can find!:

Well, we're off in the morning - all packed and raring to go. Have only posted the occasional reply but I've been reading it for months and got lots of useful information and tips! Flying from Bristol at 09.50 am - hope to see some of you there!

I booked my late checkout before we went to be sure we would get it but i did hear people saying you could do it there.....it cost me £42 til 6pm and was worth it in my opinion.

I dont smoke but my brother in law does and the fags on site were expensive compared to on the flight they bought some on flight but wish they got more as they said hotel pricves were more. They bought some in Dalaman airport for about same as flight.....not sure about Tobacco though.

My review and a lot of others on here is on the link McFester gave for Holiday village pegasos palace.

Not as many reviews for Tropical as it didnt open this year until July.

Hi all,

My name is Duncan and I was at the Palace last June when it first opened and although the building work was a put off, we enjoyed ourselves on the whole. We have booked to go in June 2007 and would like to know from those that have recently returned, if all the building work around the hotel has finished. The drive up to the hotel was awful as it was like driving through our local dump and building sites put together. I'm hoping that by next summer the local area will have been built up a bit?

I was also there last year.
Yes the area is under developed however this did not affect our enjoyment of the holiday. I however would definitely not class it as a dump but an area potential of further development.
I would suggest that if you want everwhere to be fully developed then you could try benidorm or blackpool by the brown SEA.
I very much enjoyed the surrounding areas and look forward to see any improvements made around the area.
You should realley appreciate that this resort is relativly new and that the development process would be slow according to the amount of investment from outside investors the holiday companies who take our money.
I for one prefer not to go the concrete jungles such as benidorm or blackpool.

I was also at the hotel last August and although there was some re-development coming up the road towards the hotel it didnt ruin my holiday as the hotel itself is fantastic! I only noticied it when we were leaving!

My step brother and family are going soon - they also went last year - I wish I was going with them!!

Thanks for the info. You can keep the concrete jungle thanks. I was only asking out of interest. The development along the road outside the hotel didn't ruin our stay last year, I was just wondering if it was all finished. The bit that bothered us last june was the work still going on at the tropical and the JCB's passing rightoutside our room.

if your flying out at 11.00 pm then yes you will be on the same flight.I would say we are probably rowdy, but it not all adult's their are 13 cildren aswell so we will be well heard.

Flight was delayed by about 2 hours last week, hopefully it wont be this week as kids at the time of night are a mental health hazard for me!

Can anyone who has been tell me what time the spa opens and closes please ?
